I was charged for an annual Academia Premium subscription on May 18, 2025, despite believing I had canceled it. It could’ve been helpful if they sent reminders or even just receipts for the billing like other ethical websites and companies. Academia.edu has refused my refund request, and their cancellation process is confusing and unclear. As a student, this unexpected charge caused financial hardship. I signed up for Academia.edu Premium and later attempted to cancel the subscription during the trial period. However, I recently discovered that I was still charged an amount of 358,630.37 MNT (~$104 USD) on May 18, 2025, despite believing I had successfully canceled. I received no email notification before the renewal and was unaware that two separate steps were required to cancel properly.I contacted Academia.edu support immediately after noticing the charge. They acknowledged the payment and confirmed that auto-renewal was turned off but refused to issue a refund, citing their policy. I explained that the cancellation interface was unclear, and I thought I had completed it. As a student, this is a significant amount of money for me, and I never intended to continue the subscription.

Bought a Philips 920 electronic razor value £180.00 in February 2015. By December 2016 it had developed a fault.The spindles driving the blades stick intermittently. Unable to get an individual from Philips who could extrapolate himself from a computer says no mentality .My razor used around once every three days is basically useless. A complete waste of money with a non customer focused company who are happy to take people's hard earned cash on products that die at the end of a guarantee period. I contacted Philips UK and Philips Portugal. Neither were particularly helpful.Will be replacing my razor with a Braun, and won't ever be buying Philips again. Just a footnote, when my fuji camera broke, out of warranty by a month fuji were fantastic, they took it off me and repaired it free of charge as it clearly was not good that the problem came just after a two year period. Philips take note, that fuji know how to care for the consumer.I have been contacted by Philips UK who have kindly accepted to replace my razor under guarantee. A great response and dealt with a UK customer services team member called Lucy. She has been fantastic in resolving this issue. Whilst in Portugal though the Portuguese customer service team was awful leading to obstructive clearly they let the organisation down and need to liaise with the UK for some good ideas on how to improve. Bought an Adobe Elements license, only to find out it is computer bound after I replaced my desktop. So I basically paid €110 for a piece of software I have not even used yet. Never will be buying anything from Adobe ever again. Will just be using equally good (or better) free software programs like DaVinci Resolve and GIMP instead.

Best Buy is the worst! I've had two interactions with them. Spoke on the phone to a Dripping Springs, TX employee about ordering a clothes washer. they told me it would be available on the 18th. When I organized the delivery on the 18th and then called them back they said it would be available on the 23rd. They said they would call the evening of the 22nd to organize the delivery and give a 4 hour delivery window. They did not call. I received a text message saying that they would call in the morning and give a two hour window. They did not call. They came to deliver the washer but said they couldn't because the road was too small. They never contacted anyone. They could have delivered the washer using a dolly. When I try to organize a re-delivery the web site doesn't work and I am unable to reschedule so I have to get on a chat with them.Second experience: I called to see if there was a dishwasher in stock in Louisville, Ky. St Matthews store, so I could look at it. The guy who answered was in India and he said it was in stock. I went to the store and it was not in stock. I asked for help with the guy at the front. He tried but no one ever came. I waited in the appliance department for 20 minutes and once a salesperson walked by me, but no one came to help. Wish I'd read all these reviews before I did business with them.

Some events are not on songkick. Which is a shame, because I like to rely on it to tell me when someone is playing in my city.If Songkick guaranteed that they have ALL shows in they database, that would be a service I would actually pay for.

I bought a hp omen 34c maybe around 6 months ago and the actual monitor is not too bad but then i started to run into issues with flickering, shadows on my monitors. I contacted hp and what i got was replies every 2-3 hours and going from one point to another trying to prove that something is wrong with my monitor... And they won't do anything untill you prove that to them even though is completely obvious.... They don't do repairs they don't do troubleshooting even though i have warranty... Technical supports can only give you suggestion on what is written in their little book on how to solve common issues.. And when they are out of aswers then they start to be ignorant and just tell that your monitor is fine and they don't see any issue even though before they said yes they can clearly see the issue. So basically if you have any issue with your monitor nobody will care and they won't do anything about it.. I would send my monitor to them to troubleshoot but they don't even do that so... One of the worst experiences... Never again buying from HP. AVOID! I only give 2 starts because i liked the product at the start. And also you can't even write a review or give some feedback on their page so that tells a lot i guess... I tried but you need to be a ''certified user'' but i guess buying a monitor from them doesn't make you one.
