Review of booking

Arrived to the wrong room type twice in 3 months

I switched to Bookings.com for our recent travel after using Hotels.com for years due to the new way the rewards where organised and I won't be using Bookings.com again. In a short space of time, two of our bookings left us arriving at the property with the wrong accommodation booked. We booked double hotel room in Brighton but arrived to be told bookings.com had booked a single bed in a female dormitory and most recently we booked a two bed, two bathroom apartment for a work stay in Nashville and arrived to a one bedroom. We then waisted 3 hours of our evening calling between bookings.com and the property to try and get us moved to the two bedroom we had booked. Bookings.com took no responsibility at all, kept saying I needed to talk to the property (no staff on site, all virtual) and all they could do is 'send an email' to the property...The booking and payment were taken by Bookings.com so in my mind, they were responsible for the error. We only had one night in town and by the time we moved just a few doors down we have missed all the plans we had made that evening. We only got the issue sorted because I called and sat on hold for 40 min with the property directly. bookings.com hung up on me and seemed happy to leave too many people for the beds we had overnight, with no help. I realise it's a 1st world problem and we could have coped for one night but this was a business trip with work colleges and not a family sharing one bedroom... and a hotel bookings site should support their customer in moving to the correct room within 1 hour of reporting the issue in my opinion.

If they charge you automatically…

If they charge you automatically automatically, it takes over an hour to cancel it. I paid through this through PayPal and had canceled it through that. They had to go into my computer and cancel it as well they said. Its very unsettling. Its like pulling teeth.

Delayed order, no tracking

Placed two separate orders, with a total spend of £600. Second arrived, first order still outstanding after 3 weeks and counting. No tracking provided, and c/s response, whilst polite, but unhelpful. For what they charge, I do expect better.

Very poor service

I ordered some Lego a month ago. I was billed and given a shipping tracking number. It never arrived. Toll said Lego did not deliver the package to Toll. Lego will not respond to emails. Either Lego Australia is very disorganised or dishonest. Poor service. Really, no service. And high prices.

Bol.com is a perfect webstore, but very high prices

Bol.com is a perfect webstore, with an excellent customer service policy. However, they are not cheap, it really pays to compare prices with alternative online shops. I found products half of the listed price at bol.com elswhere.Good webshop, but vey high prices.

Aaa the worst

I called aaa for road assistance at 1.25p they told me within 90min someone will be there assisting you. 3.5hrs later nobody show up and the most important thing they told me it's not our goal. REALLY??? I had aaa for over 10 years and never use it, I told my wife and my brother they should have aaa. Now I will make sure all of us plus more people I know canceled the membership. This is very disrespectful. Dissatisfied. I can't believe it

Delivery problems

Again, review based on very slow delivery not on the product. Order well ahead of when you need your product. Shame, I wish companies would be honest about their delivery times, so that you can choose to order somewhere else. :(Let's hope it will arrive eventually - 10 days late so far.

This is the worst costumer service…

This is the worst costumer service you'll ever get. They take an entire day between messages and emails. They don't pay attention to what you've said before and we're constantly on a loop to solve problem. People behind the support seem to don't care about helping their costumers. Totally disappointed, I just chose to subscribe Apple Music instead.

Review of parallels

Parallels-A great product!

I have a M1 Mac mini with 16 gigs of RAM and 1 TB solid-state storage. The parallels software works great with this mini computer. It is a lot faster than I ever imagined it would be. The windows 11 is shared with my Mac information which is instantaneous to access.

Lyft's app-only access sucks

Lyft has switched to in-app only contact. They no longer have a telephone number and the website states that the app must be used. The app is not functioning. In the sign-in process it recognizes my phone number, sends a text with an access code, but the code is not accepted. Without access to my account, I cannot even send a service request. I was stranded yesterday and had to use Uber instead. Unless Lyft can sort this out, they have lost me.

Totally useless Amex

Totally useless!! Joined to get the welcome bonus of 20k avois and paid a fee of over £200. I reached the required spending requirements so phoned to claim points. Was told that as I had another Amex account that had been closed 23 months earlier I was not eligible ( there has to be a 24 month gap). When I initially applied I spoke to someone online who at no point mentioned the 24 month regulation. Do not use Amex!!

They just suspended my account which I have had for a decent amount of time without any problems. I think I had like 15 supporters. I work with open source as well as paid software. Not sure why they did this. Nothing I would recommend to anyone at this time.

Review of abebooks

Just simply awful

Just simply awful, bought a book said was going to take 2.5 weeks which was ok because that was right when my class started. Contacted several times the week prior to schedule delivery for a tracking number, and never got even a single reply. Then go to cancel the order after they missed the expected date, and now have to wait 8 more days. Meanwhile my class has started and have been forced to but off of another site without refund from here. Zero communication through the entire process, I will never buy a book from abebooks again...complete scam!!
