If you are in the market for a laptop…DON'T BUY ASUS

If you are in the market for a laptop do not buy ASUS. I bought an ASUS laptop in 2012 and loved it so I bought a vivobook in December 2017. In June of 2018 the laptop just stopped charging. The charger worked in my other ASUS so I knew it was not the charger so I assumed battery. Had the battery checked and found out it was a problem with the actual laptop. No problem it was under warranty. Contacted ASUS they had me ship it to them. They fixed the laptop and sent it back. You would think woo hoo, but the charger was damaged when they shipped it back. Took pictures and contacted warranty services again. Emailed them pictures that are SO OBVIOUS that the charger was damaged in shipping. ASUS proceeds to tell me that I will have to wait until they work out the claim with FED EX and FED EX pays them before they will send me another charger. So long story short owned laptop for 9 months, got to use it for 6, spent last 3 months trying to resolve issue, $20 charger is too much for ASUS to front the bill and then go after FED EX so still can't use the laptop. Don't buy from a company that would rather save $20 than keep a customer!!!

Review of ssa

I tried to endure it

I got a letter stating that SSA wanted to conduct its own mental health assessment in January, after I had already had my own done in November. I had previously spoken to a supervisor (Dan Kuda) about my financial and housing issues, so it was upsetting to get a letter asking me to wait 3 more weeks to conduct an appointment in a home I no longer had. I remember the woman I spoke to scoffing and saying 'You can't wait 3 weeks!' At that time, I hadn't eaten in 24 hours and all the fight in me was just gone. I had done everything I was asked to do and even submitted a dire need letter, but they kept prolonging the process. I remember my older brother sprained his foot, he hired a disability attorney and settled for $10,000. My brother might have had a third of my work experience, and he continued doing the activities he had always done. I have had my disabilities most of my life, but my work wasn't affected until the last 2 years. Based on work history alone, my brother should not have qualified for disability.I remember Dan getting smug when he called to ask me about my dire need letter, he stated a 'compassionate allowance' is for someone who is terminally ill and I told him I am requesting dire need (someone who has or is at risk of losing their home). There are four ways someone can get their case expedited, but according to Dan, it can take a week to 3 months. Also, the person collecting your information is the one determines if your case gets/stays marked as urgent. I guess Dan and his subordinate, Natalie, didn't think me being homeless or starving was urgent. I finally got my food stamp card on 12/17, so at least I can eat.

Review of teamviewer

Compared to AnyDesk

Compared to AnyDesk, TeamViewer offers much more flexibility and stablility. If you guys can provide more free connection time to non-profit organization like my team, daycare center for seniors in Taiwan, that wil be great.

Review of Shopify

The abysmal experience I've had with…

The abysmal experience I've had with Shopify's "support" is beyond comprehension. I entered with trust and hope, only to be met with a series of maddening disappointments and an almost deliberate ignorance of my straightforward request. They didn't just mismanage my issue – they made it deeply personal. Instead of rectifying a blatant unauthorized charge from an app, they tossed me into an endless maze of miscommunication, ultimately crediting my dormant Shopify account instead of refunding my bank, which I explicitly requested. It's almost as if they took pride in frustrating their customers. Moreover, the audacity with which they advised me to chase an unresponsive app developer, while even they struggled to get a hold of them, was insulting. It's a slap in the face to any loyal customer. The sheer negligence and apparent disdain for genuine customer concerns has made it abundantly clear: Shopify cares more about passing the buck than genuine service. This ordeal wasn’t just an oversight; it felt like a direct affront. If your peace of mind and respect matter to you, I'd urge caution before diving into the murky waters of Shopify's so-called support. My trust wasn't just broken; it was trampled upon, making it abundantly clear that, to Shopify, customers are merely numbers, not individuals. Shameful.

Review of sage

Great support

I have been using Sage for over 30 years and still need to contact the support team occasionally. They are very patient and always happy to go at the pace that I need. I find the software easy to use and only need help when it is something I do may be once a year.

Review of Etsy

I wish I had read all of these terrible reviews before becoming an Etsy seller. The fact that they don't respond to any negative reviews speaks volumes. Once they have your bank details and you have given them money to join, you will never get any assistance or the funds owed to you, as happened to me. I left due to their endless technical issues and haven't received a penny owed. But they have certainly made money out of me! I truly hope that they go out of business ASAP. Please don't support these scammers in any way.

Review of depop

Their 'hands are tied' when it comes to any issue

Depop wouldn't even check if my item had arrived to the buyer before giving a refund. They then state that their 'hands are tied'. So now I've lost a £300 pair of shoes because I made the mistake of selling on depop

Review of thumbtack

Deleted my Thumbtack account and would never use these frauds again

This business gets its money by providing leads to pros. The pro's that sign up here are those that are incompetent and unable to get work elsewhere. Thumbtack claims to be a neutral third party but in reality when something goes wrong they are actually on the side of incompetent pros as I found out. Without going into details i want to emphasize that Thumbtack thought it was okay for a pro to submit an architectural plan without knowledge of english language (mixing up wasteline and waist line...LOL!, not knowing that diameter and circumference were not the same thing), unable to measure with a measuring tape and mixing up 8 feet and 10 feet for a crucial measurement and and did not know what an egress window was. Just a few examples but dozens more could have been provided. . No, its not the pro. There are many pros like that around. Its Thumbtacks support of these cheats. Also, thumbtack hides negative reviews. A really bad negative review is more valuable to me than many 5 star reviews but Thumbtack makes these negative reviews invisible or hard to find. Its understandable. Its the pro that pays them! There are many other resources to find pros as I found out.April 2025 - Update: Thumbtack response is a true reflection of their attitude. They take no responsibility for their actions and provide no clear detail on any issues I raised. This confirms their bias and refusal to acknowledge their shady business practices. Since I wrote this review, I found another pro who uses Thumbtack exclusively through his own admission, although I found him through a search engine which showed some 5 star reviews on Thumbtack. My mistake. His work was subpar and he boasted of his criminal history and connections. We were so scared of him we did not challenge his work and just paid him and sent him off. I now use Thumbtack high rating reviews to exclude pro's. Thank you Thumbtack.

Review of Pinterest

I used to love Pinterest so much

I used to love Pinterest so much, now it's barely usable due to endless bugs plus extreme censorship and moderation policies that flag almost every picture as some sort of "adult content" or "hateful activities". Pictures of pets or cats get flagged as "adult". Are you serious?I'm an artist and I mainly pin illustrations and art or photography so I see these reports DAILY on pieces of content which have nothing to do with hate, nudity, or violence. I wish they put the same forceful energy into toning down AI content, incessant ads, and scams or stolen images. Also I noticed an influx of fake bot profiles that give a false sense of growth on the platform because in reality your pins don't even reach real people and they don't drive any traffic to your website (unless you pay for ad space). So the algo is constantly against you.
