Best Buy Canada , Buying an insurance policy for my cell phone is useless!!!I did buy one for my son's phone. He has epilepsy and he broke his previous phone while having a seizure. When I pitched his Currant phone, I explained to the sales person that we would need an immediate phone replacement or a loaner phone because this phone is also connected to his epilepsy monitor to let me know that he is having a seizure and needs emergency help. the sales person advised us to purchase an insurance policy and promised that we will not be without a phone.BTW the insurance policy cost more than the phone. I did purchase it because we may have more then one time need. We'll, my son did have a seizure! He dropped the phone and the screen broke. We immediately went to best buy to either repair or replace the phone. When we got there customer service told us that we will have to mail the phone back to the manufacturer and wait to have it repaired or replaced. My son tried to explain to them that the epilepsy monitor is attached to this phone and it still alerts me when needed (at least 5 times a day).So we can't just send it back and be without a phone.Their alternative was for him to pay a $900.- deposit that will be refunded when we return it!My son is disabled and lives on $1200.- per month He does not have $900.- available.I am an 81 years old senior, living on oap I do not have $900.- to spare. The sales person who sold us this phone was aware of this and promised that all this will be taken care of without any problems. The store does not have the name of that salesperson and won't honor the insurance policy as promised.I no longer drive so we use Uber $45.- each time we go to the store.I can't afford this.Best buy is putting my Son's life and safety at risk!!!!!Byer be ware when purchasing an extended insurance policy from best buy!!!!!

Review of hp
Years of trying to get HP printers to work for family and friends, we will now avoid fully - I am technically minded especially in IT applications. Couple the awful software and Direct Debit type setup that locks out the printer to force you to buy more even if the ink is still only half used....honestly terrible company

I'm a new account holder with AMEX cashback platinum card. Awful experience! I've been trying to resolve issues with my card for days. I held multiple times for over 4 hours one day with no success to even get through to customer service. When I finally got through the next day, they asked me for bank statements etc which I sent immediately and then they still are not able to resolve the issue. At this point I regret even opening the account. I've never had a problem with any credit card provider in the past. Don't open an account with AMEX it's not worth the hassle.
Review of coursera
Seemed promising, offering interesting courses in project management and AI. There is a lot of fluff and unnecessary content in the course I did which could easily have been left out to reduce the timeframe. That aside, I was on a 7 day trial to begin with and thought it was worth subscribing for another month when I was offered a 50% promotion. However when I accepted the promotion, my subscription was immediately cancelled and I was unable to continue the course I'd already spent 10+ hours on. When I realised it had been cancelled I raised it with a support specialist who told me it will take up to 14 days to resolve. I thought that was an unreasonably long time to look into the issue and expected it to be resolved in less time. However when I checked back after 14 days the issue still hadn't been resolved. When I got in touch with another support specialist who could see the details, I was told they still haven't resolved the issue and I should keep checking back. When I asked how long it will take the specialist just apologised and said they didn't know. Very disappointing to be offered a promotion which would have still meant a paying customer for Coursera and potentially someone who would have extended their subscription after the first month if the content was good. However I can safely say I won't be using Coursera in future or recommending it to anyone else in my network. I'll stick with Udemy in future - the content and wealth of available courses is far better and I've never had issues like this with them.
