As a kid my Mum and Dad were posted abroad, so the BBC World Service was our family's go-to for accurate and up-to-date news. When I worked abroad, the same applied to me, I trusted it. Now I have retired back in the UK, I don't know where to turn for accurate news, I don't and it is upsetting. Like most people I have access directly to foreign news services so I hear things first-hand, then I read the BBC version and sometimes it skews and varies the story so much that I don't recognise "Aunty". I am sorry this has happened to what used to be the most trusted radio and later TV service in the world for the news.

I recently purchased a new computer and in the process of downloading files from the old computer to the new one, some documents in Word and Excel were lost. I contacted Geek Squad remotely and they got on my computer. The first person I spoke to simply opened every folder to see what was there. I told him I had already checked every file so he was stumped. At this point he transferred me to level 2 but first I had to pay $39.99. By the way I was so glad to be transferred because I could not understand most of what the first guy said. The person at level 2 was on a chat box but he couldn't solve my problem either so I asked for a refund. He gave me a phone number for the refund. This was the most frustrating part of it all. The lady I spoke to had such a strong accent that I could not understand more than about 10% of what she said. I took probably 20 minutes before she found where I had made the payment and eventually got the refund processed, I hope. It is so frustrating to speak to someone from a foreign country who cannot communicate.

BBC news app recent update is atrocious!It’s now a scrolling picture list with stuff I don’t care about and duplicate listings. I hate it - it looks like a kid just learning app development was let loose. Please revert to something that actually functions and serves an adult community or at least allow users to opt into a list view. Fix your rubbish duplicates and allow me to opt out of bloody football updates. Oh and reporting in some kind of impartial manner would be great. Up until the most recent update I used the breaking news function to prompt me to look for additional reporting elsewhere because the BBC is so heavily in the Tories’ pockets, it’s unreal. We see you.

The projects from Udacity make one industry-handy and is a cut above the rest from other learning platforms.However, the web based VM infra is unavailable for recent Nanodegree (in July 2024) unlike earlier Nanodegrees that I did (2018, 2022). To download and use Udacity provided VM, local system is required to have certain configuration. This is an important preparation info to be conveyed to prospective enrollers.

I've been a loyal Spotify Premium user for years, but the current state of their Android app is testing my patience. The app's performance has been disappointing, with constant bugs affecting music downloads and playback. I've had to delete and redownload my music library multiple times due to these issues. To make matters worse, the app often refuses to open, forcing me to go through the whole setup process again. This not only eats up my time but also my data allowance, as I can't listen to music offline. Paying for a service that's meant to deliver seamless music listening but instead delivers frustration is becoming increasingly hard to justify. I'm now actively looking for alternatives to transfer my music library to, as Spotify seems more focused on adding features than ensuring the app works reliably for their paying customers.

I paid for a ride to work @ 7am to be picked up @ 10:10am. The driver calls me @ 10:08am to say the roads were blocked because of a triathlon going on. She said she was going to pull over a try to figure it out. I say ok.. she didn't call back so I texted her got no response so I called her she then tells me that her current rider gave her the wrong address & when got done taking them she would be to get me I say ok.. She never came to pick me up but somehow was able to make it look like she took me to work. SHE NEVER PICKED ME UP FOR WORK. I MAY GET FIRED BECAUSE OF LYFT!the ride was only $23's & this was my first time ever using Lyft, but it's costing me way more. Worst experience ever! I finally found a number to call & the person got on the phone & promised me a refund and a free ride with Lyft instead the hacked my phone & stole 3 of my cards information & never received a refund. The whole thing is a scam!! Don't use Lyft!Lyft IM CALLING SOMEONE TO RECTIFY THIS LIE!! Call the driver who said she dropped me off & ask her where she picked me up from, call me and I will give you the company number so you can check the conversation(s) that was had between me & the driver. Check the text messages too.

I have an issue with the rankmath plugin. I contacted support and at first did not receive a reply. Days later they answered and told me they could reproduce the issue and would fix it. On the next update the issue was not fixed. I reached out again and 4 days laters still no reply. Edit: It has now been 6 weeks since raising the issue and no fix so far.
