Review of eventbrite

Major flaw in Eventbrite Platform....Overselling your tickets!

I have been using Eventbrite for years and honestly have not had any issues...until this week. We use eventbrite for our business and lessons that are taught. We opened up registration this past week and had the set amount of spots for each class. All of the sudden at the end of the day we notice that one of the classes has 5/4 spots sold......and we were like what is going on? Come to find out that it is a glitch in their platform... This is the response I got."Basically what happens is the following:For General Admission Reserved Seating events as well as non Reserved Seating events this can happen. The idea here is that this can occur with payment redirected websites (like PayPal, which you are using), as we have no control over the length of time the payment takes to be completed on the payment processor's side. All orders were placed at the same time within seconds of each other, which is the reason. You can see that 2 of the orders we placed on pretty much the exact same time, down to the second. So it basically boils down to bad timing, it's not ideal I understand."The whole purpose of this company is to sell tickets and I would think it is important to be able to sell only the amount of tickets you have!!! Really!! Basically i was told that I have to deal with this....which is a major issue as they were all sold out so who do i let down. Very disappointed that this is an issue. I even asked for them to at least refund their fee since they did not fulfill what they claimed and all i got was that they were "sorry" but i would have to deal with it. Beware before you sign up with them!!

What a goddamn joke

What a goddamn joke, unlinked my Xbox account to join with some friends who played on PC cause they couldn't find me and once i did nothing changed, so i went to relink my account and was put on a 6 month cooldown ad now that my prison sentence is up I've lost everything, 10 years worth of playing and unlocking and grinding for nothing. no data saved nothing transferable, what a f#$king joke.

login and bugs

I have played a lot of ea games and spent a lot of money and it has been nothing but problems from the start with log-ins and game bugs now I can't even sign into the EA app on my pc it changed the email the password and my info without me doing it. EA is by far the worst platform for gaming byfar the games are a joke and the money they want for the half-finished games they release is almost laughable just avoid everything to do with these money grabbers

Never again

Aside from the rising costs over the years, the extreme “legalese” in superfine print no one has time to read when time to replace an aging phone, as well as the questionable practices regarding the AT&T insurance and submitting claims, and sales reps that may need additional training in communications, dealing with call centers that may not have clear insight on local issues – my recent issue begins with the mistake of upgrading to a Samsung Fold Z4 shortly after it became available. While the phone was impressive in terms of the screen size, it came with many more “unknown” cons I would learn about the hard way, than pro’s. Although Samsung boasts waterproof/resistant, it is not dustproof. Amazing that a speck of dust can create havoc on the screen rendering it unreadable at a significant pace and hence I had to replace it after 7(?) months or so…while I had insurance on all my devices had to shell out another 700.00+ to get the replacement. Ok, lesson learned, be sure to create a good seal around the folding part. In May of 2024 (with another 18 months of installment payments left), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth stopped working entirely and despite many attempts and online research to fix on my own, had no other choice but to get a replacement phone. I did not want to deal with a claim at the time due to the frustration of already having to replace again and of course work and life. Went back to the AT&T store and explained the situation and wound up with a new phone and a new business line I did not need, it was not clear to me that although I brought the old phone in at the time that I would be stuck with paying installments on both. Again, I was not paying attention as the frustration just grew – especially after there happened to be a Samsung rep in the store and when the sales person asked him if it was common that the Wi-Fi and Bluetooth would stop working and he shook his head rather non-chalantly and that is when I popped up and advised that is not what I discovered in various online sites – Samsung for one - regarding a known issue with the fold. Once I discovered I am still paying for the Fold, I called AT&T and an hour of wasted effort, I was referred to the claim site and here is where it gets really interesting. The Fold no longer showed up as a registered device so I could not file a claim… AT&T rep on the phone had me register the phone with my true number associated and I asked if that was going to impact my current working phone and basically had me attempt to claim on both phones… I can’t make this stuff up folks, simply unreal. I then went back to the store to see if the claim can be done from there and was told of course they could help. Only issue is the phone had been turned off for a bit so now it was not showing up on the network and when I asked how to do that as the phone did not work… no Wi-Fi – the salesperson asked her co-worker and he would not even respond to me which is ok, but stated to put a sim in the phone and make a few calls, etc…Went home and tried it and guess what? Still not showing up on network and now the screen appears to be damaged again… and growing. At this point, not sure if it is worth my peace to deal with this and just eat the cost. Moral of the story is check everything including the fine print, question all policies, particularly the insurance policies and whatever deductibles you are responsible for, and have a backup plan. My plan involves fulfilling my debt obligations on these phones and once they are paid for, removing all services I have with AT&T after many years as my provider and never doing business with AT&T again…Hope this helps in some way.

Updates are quick and easy but when it always says PC is slowing down when it's brand new is incorrect and annoying.I would also like basic driver updates in the Free version because I have 6 Computers but only use any 1 for email and web pages and it's too expensive to pay for full coverage.

I agree with all of the below and I …

I agree with all of the below and I will NEVER shop there or online with them again- I ordered at 3 different times in December gifts for xmas- I had to return 2 items that weren't suitable and the returns policy is archaic- its complicated and they charge you £9 for a return, unless you read the very small print that says your can do it yourself- £9 !!! what company charges that these days?? THEN when I send the parcels back, 15 days later still no refund, I call 3 times and they say they have no record of my return, I email them the proof of postage and the signature of the person that signed for it showing it arrived with them 10 days ago and they just reply saying refund now processed- no apology or reason why- NEVER again- there are so many company's now that have a superb online site, and in this growing business A&F need to get with it, no good having trendy stores when their online policy's are embarrassing for them and losing them customers

Asus laptop purchase

Great Laptop quality and very fast performance, however slight problem with charging, which is only reason for 3 star rating . Have purchased many other products before which have been great with no problems so would still recommend Asus to anyone as they are a great company.
