Booking.com Enables Guest Blackmail – Zero Support for Hosts

As a host who takes pride in offering a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming property, I’m incredibly disappointed by Booking.com’s failure to support its partners when they are targeted by dishonest guests.A recent guest confirmed in writing—through the platform—that everything was fine 24 hours after check-in. After checkout, they sent me a private message outside Booking.com saying the mattress was bad and the hot tub water was dirty. They also said: “I didn’t want to give a bad review.”This wasn’t feedback—it was an attempt to pressure me into offering compensation. I responded respectfully and explained that the mattress is brand new and that the hot tub is professionally cleaned, drained, and refilled after every guest. I also said I wished they had contacted me during their stay, because I would have sent out a technician immediately to address the issue.They didn’t reply—but then posted a public review filled with misleading and exaggerated complaints, even criticizing the 360° exterior security cameras that are clearly disclosed in the listing and used only for safety.I submitted a formal complaint with screenshots of the off-platform message, my response, and evidence—but Booking.com said the review doesn’t violate policy. They then sent me back to the same internal message form I had already used, calling it a “dispute resolution center.”Hosts like me pay high commissions but have zero tools to protect ourselves from guest abuse. We can’t review guests. We can’t see if they’ve done this before. We’re told to “just respond to the review.”If you’re a host considering Booking.com, be warned: they do not protect their partners from manipulative or dishonest guests—and your reputation can be harmed without any real recourse.

What am I paying for?

What am I paying for? The latest offering after exhausting cooking, renovating houses and car boot sales is Guess who lives in a house. This is supposed to be entertainment aimed at adults. I cannot believe the London Centric Organisation have the audacity to charge me to watch such mindless drivel. Scrap the Licence fee and switch to Pay Per View. I’m sure there overpaid executives would up there game if they were forced to relinquish the Tax imposed on UK households.

I wish trust pilot could give me the option to leave 0 starts, WORST COMPANY EVER. They scam you, steal from you and increase prices without telling you. To after they charge you, they can tell you that they can decrease the price after they charge you more than they should. I rather die than return to ATT. I switched to another mobile company, they told me that after the numbers are transferred, the AtT service lines would be automatically cancelled. We are a family of 4. Everyone except my sister choose to not change their number, just transfer the number. We ask several times if the limes would be canceled, they did it with the 3 phones that choose to stay with the same number, but not with my sister number. My sister number was active and they were charging 77.04 for it, a line that was not being used. I HAVE TO ALSO SHARE THE HORRIBLE WAIT TIME IN THE CALLS. In companies like Spectrum the wait time is less than 3 minutes, in Att is 1 hour or more. Worst mobile service ever. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. You paid your phones, they increase the prices of the lines, and also they charge 100 dollars when you request technical support on the home internet while in T mobile, Spectrum this is free, that’s why I said that they scam you or steal from you, because that is supposed to be a free included service. No way. Dunno how they can still in the mobile business. But karma exist and justice does also exist. Why they have to be like this ? Why can’t they be a good mobile company, why choose to be evil. Me, family and even friends will never be back to this dark hole called ATT

Misleading information given on news…

I emailed BBC news about a comment on the 5pm news which was misleading. I gave them the date and time. I received a reply saying I had not given them any details therefore they could not comment on my complaint. I tried to email back but the email bounced back. I am furious I will not be watching BBC news again.

I have been using Parallels for many…

I have been using Parallels for many years. It started out when I switched from PC's to Mac's and had some specific software that I used that was not designed or supported by the Mac OS. I looked at BootCamp and Parallels and I went with Parallels since I could run both operating systems at the same time, and still have access to all of my data files in either operating system.To my surprise, the windows specific program actually ran faster and better on the Parallels with the Mac, than it did in native windows. I only use windows and Parallels when I have to (very specific applications) as I prefer the stability and utility of the Mac platform.

The only thing I can see and say is the the fellow in the Sidney Kroger meat dept. should be the Manager of Sidney Kroger Store . I am talking about Thomas. He is the friendliest and most knowledgeable of anyone in the store. Most people there are friendly except for a few that are in need of some personality education. Shady subscription billing practices

I saw an unauthorized charge on my account yesterday from Infogram. Without warning or authorization, they’d auto-renewed my subscription. They put unnecessary barriers in place to cancel, like threatening you by making all your presentations public - that is an INSANELY predatory practice that is NOT highlighted upfront, for obvious reasons. I hadn’t used the service because it wasn’t helpful when I initially tried. I wish I had come across these reviews as a warning. But I reached out immediately to request a refund. They refused by saying that this stipulation was buried in the TOS. They then said they’d canceled my subscription for me; I canceled the subscription yesterday, so they outed themselves with that admission. This is the first service I’ve come across that doesn’t provide a warning before billing and doesn’t issue refunds when you immediately request on the same day as the charge appears. Bizarre. They clearly need a better business model if their success relies on deceptive business practices like holding customers hostage with threats to publish their private content and subscription theft.

An Awful Experience

An awful experience. As a prime customer I have never had a bad experience with Amazon however on this occasion it was a nightmare. Placed an order for next day and normally I get an email from Amazon with the tracking information for the delivery with approximate times however I have planned tomorrow out for a couple of hours for lunch but willing to work around when the delivery was. To begin I never got a tracking email on the morning of the delivery and got a text message when I was out to tell me they had tried to deliver. This was not terrible news as Amazon has in the past tried to deliver again the same day which makes them high on my list for customer service.Things went bad when I got back home to see a card from royal mail to say it will be delivered the following day. This could be anytime with no tracking.I decided to call Amazon as I wanted to order again and have it directed to another address rather than it getting failed again due to no tracker from Royal Mail. Customer service was so unhelpful they could not give me a refund or place another order or redirect this order. Amazon has changed alot in recent years to be top of their class to actually not listening or caring about customer needs. I don't have the product Amazon have my money and refuse to refund. It's not good at all. Very disappointing!!!
