A truly horribly designed app

A truly horribly designed app. You better remember what email and phone# used for registration. Once you logged out by accident or on purpose, and forgot the login information, login again is impossible. When creating a new account it always tells that your pswd combination is not complex enough, despite you satisfied every protocol they asked to follow. An app from hell!

Awful update

Awful update. Hate the typescript for starters. The number of articles on the front page have reduced and those that are shown are barely newsworthy. Shall I continue to check it a couple of times a day - probably not. Will I look for another way to get my news - probably yes.

Unbelievable how much AAA has changed

Unbelievable how much AAA has changed. Used to be a wonderful company. Cannot reach a live agent after 6 calls. Additionally my most recent roadside call left me stranded for 4 hours. Find something else if you can.

No, it is entertainment - for their staff

It's a fact that news.com.au does provide "news". However, most of their writers can not be called professional journalists and most of their articles are at best, commercial entertainment for the amusement of their staff. They take the truth out of what actually happens because that is what they are hired to do. They also purposefully title serious subject matter with incredibly stupid and dangerous headline grabs. I think some of their writers are writing fictional novels on the side - in Spike Milligan style. For example, Seidel's articles on war with China, Russia, Iran, Palestine and anyone else America hates are on a par with Elser's strange, self-ingratiating, hyperbolic comedy within her royalty articles. Some nut will take them seriously.Their writer's days are numbered as the "news outlet" gets AI bots to churn out heaps of better garbage articles, slanted to their readership and American leanings - until the bots become aware, and start writing to their own political agenda. They may even pinch this review and run it with the tag "Russian Spy Infiltrates American News Company - Exclusive"

Review of lyft

Broken website and app

Both Lyft's website and app are defective. Lyft purports to offer fare estimates -- searching for "Lyft fare estimate" returns a page entitled "Get Fare Estimates for Your City - Lyft Price Estimate", but that page redirects to one that says "Let's start with your number" (in a large font); underneath (in a smaller font) it says "We’ll text you a link to download the app.", which obviously has nothing to do with providing a fare estimate. As it happens, I already have the Lyft app installed, but it has no option to provide fare estimates either; when I enter a starting location and destination and click "Done", the app displays a mostly blank page with an unlabeled button at the bottom and hangs. It's incredible that Lyft is able to do business with such miserable software -- it sure isn't doing any with me.

I had vacationed at a beautiful hotel…

I had vacationed at a beautiful hotel in Ojai, California, The Blue Iguana Inn from Thursday, October 27, 2022, to Tuesday November 1, 2022.As with any hotel there will be an Incidental Hold on your card. Well, the hold was placed on October 27, 2022, and released by the hotel on November 1, 2022, which was my checkout date. The hotel sent me an email indicating this transaction. I called American Express Serve, and I was told that the "Hold" will stay on for 30-Days. Why?! I am no longer on vacation, and too, I did not see ANY WRITTEN DISCLAIMER WITHIN AMERICAN EXPRESS (SERVE) DOCUMENTS, informing customers of such a "HOLD" Policy. BTW, I had mentioned this to an American Express Customer Representative, and she admitted that there was nothing indicating a 30-DAY HOLD POLICY.

Months of Effort Dismissed: A Critical Look at Elsevier's Author Addition Policy

We recently had a disappointing experience with the journal Energy. After submitting a manuscript that required only minor revisions, we chose not to include a particular author initially, in order to expedite the review process. Knowing that many colleagues have successfully added authors at later stages, we didn't foresee any issues. However, after resubmitting the revised version with the additional author, the journal rejected our paper outright, without any prior communication or explanation from the editorial team. This decision, made solely on their judgment, felt unjust and unprofessional. We dedicated months to producing a high-quality piece of research, only to have our efforts dismissed in an instant. Furthermore, when we reached out to the editorial office for a clear explanation, they failed to provide a satisfactory response. This experience has left us questioning the professionalism of Elsevier's editorial practices and the transparency of their policies. We believe their management should reconsider such rigid policies that overlook the time and dedication researchers invest in their work.
