Review of coursera
I chose the course: 'Responsive Website Basics: Code with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript' I didn't fancy paying £65 for it and so I applied for free funding from Coursera and while waiting for their decision I began the first couple of modules, which were free anyway. The course moves along at a fairly rapid pace, but it soon became apparent that this a low quality affair, using 'tutors' who seemed very ill at ease with the subject. At times it was hard work just listening to them.In addition the course title was misleading. This course does not teach CSS and Javascript, but instead Bootstrap and JQuery. These are CSS and Javascript libraries, and while learning them is certainly useful, it encourages the student to ignore the vital underlying CSS and Javascript fundamentals. Finally, the VS code sandbox provided for file submission is very flaky. I found submitting files for assessment to be a hit and miss process and simply not worth my time. On the day my approval for free funding came through from Coursera, I had had enough and deleted my account. This is not for me, and I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who has actually handed over money for this course.

Title: Refund Took a Month – Lost $140 Due to Exchange Rates, No Accountability from IssuuReview:I started a free trial of Issuu’s Unlimited Annual plan in March. Without warning, I was charged $2,259 USD on April 14. I submitted a refund request the next day and received confirmation that the refund would be processed in 7–10 business days. However, the refund wasn't completed until May 13, nearly a month later. Because of the delay, I lost TWD 4,471 (approx. $140 USD) due to exchange rate changes.Issuu refuses to take responsibility, saying they don’t cover currency losses — but this loss was caused by their delay, not the refund itself. I’ve provided all documents, including their own promise of the 7–10 day refund window. They’ve ignored the issue. This is deeply irresponsible behavior from a company that handles international transactions!

Leigh Ward came to our property on a Track and Trace request from a Severn Trent engineer. Leigh was very professional in his approach to the problem and his communication with us. Throughout his search he kept us constantly informed, explaining what he was doing and why. We set him something of a challenge and the standard procedure of Severn Trent did not assist in finding the location of the stop tap. Leigh was very good in taking a broader view of the problem and the steps needed to solve it. As a result he was successful in achieving a solution. He went 'over and above' and thought 'outside the box' and we are very grateful to him. Leigh was very polite, courteous and patient throughout and is an excellent asset to Severn Trent.

Unfortunately, I had to completely change my review. While the initial process from activation to setup was very easy for my herbal apothecary and functional medicine studio, I got an email a couple of days later stating that I couldn't run herbal supplements and such through Clover or my account would be terminated. Um, that is the EXACT and primary product I sell. I spent time entering inventory, not to mention releasing my SSN and EIN to get approved. What a complete waste of my time and money - how does underwriting decide AFTER my setup that they don't want to do business with an herbal company, when it was known from day one? This is huge misstep in terms of business efficiency. I find it hard to believe no one else using Clover sells herbal products and supplements. I was so disappointed and pissed off - and that is an understatement!

Accessing new audiobooks is limited, despite what they say, a bit cheeky, but I understand the need. However they have now just started removing access to most of my saved titles until next payment so I can no longer finish them. Customer service fudge saying they will be available soon - so what am I paying now for? The cruddy filler stuff and podcasts? There had been no decent uploads for an age and was about to cancel when there was a slew of new titles but I cannot access them. It seems to me like they can't actually afford to provide the service and don't want customers really using it. Btw, make sure you are logged out when you do a search because they hide results so you dont see audiobooks until after a recent payment, so shady. I just wish they were more up front and honest about the service they can offer. I would pay a bit more if it meant I could access the stuff I wanted to at will. It is a great model in theory, just too good to be true, if you are a frequent user. This was a luxury for me, and now a pointless and unjustifiable one and have cancelled. Fingers crossed I will not be one of the many on here who will still be charged.
