Terrible Experience – Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre

I booked a room at Holiday Inn Express Dublin City Centre in December 2024 through Booking.com and received a confirmation — only to have my booking cancelled 2 days before my stay on the 22nd of June 2025 with the excuse that they “couldn’t verify my card.” This is absolutely false — my card was valid, active, and working perfectly. No issues whatsoever.Instead of honouring the original booking, I was told I could rebook… but only if I paid €100 more for a different room. That’s not customer service — that’s a scam. It felt like they were looking for any excuse to cancel my cheaper reservation and resell the room at a higher price.I was left completely stranded and stressed trying to find a new place to stay — all because this hotel chose profit over professionalism. Booking.com also failed to step in and help meaningfully.Avoid this hotel. If they can cancel confirmed bookings over made-up payment issues and upsell you instead, what’s the point of booking in advance?

Please go back to investigative journalism instead of allowing/pushing for hosts to talk opinions, expert guests are okay, but not the host. I am a Democrat and watch all of the news networks to make my own assertions. CNN feels like it should be a centralized bipartisan channel. It is worth it to approach in that way instead of the new path of heavy opinions. Let us make our own opinions. Even better, make a short segment that is opinionated and the rest of the show facts and interviews. Last, but not least, STOP calling everything BREAKING NEWS! It is not breaking when you have said and shown it 50 times. Please continue to bring us the best guests and facts.

The rudest customer service personnel!!!

I have dealt with customer service 3 times with Chegg. Once the person was decent but still not helpful in any way and the other 2 times the person was rude, sparky and disrespectful. They have really poor business practices of charging by the month and not giving any advance notice before charging. If you request a refund for any reason it is an emphatic NO! They use poor descriptions for the materials they send out and won't work with you to correct mistakes they have made. All in all, I will never use them again!

I have booked property in gurugram through agoda. Hotel people could not provide room according to my reservation so I checked out within 2 hours. Agoda people are not refunding my booking amount stating there cancellation policy rules. Worst experience

The worst customer support (and overall service experience) I've ever encountered.

It's quite incredible that such a big company can be so unbelievably terrible. I hadn't even signed up, and was just curious to see what the cost of a Workspace subscription would be with a simple business email attached to my domain (which was purchased via Wix). Little did I know that they'd literally hijack my domain, forcing me to pay the mid-tier business Workspace subscription, with no way of backing out.Since I wasn't satisfied at all with the pricing, I went to another provider who offered the same service at a much lower rate, and to my surprise, I was barred from setting up the email because it was "already set up with Google". This is nonsense, I had NOT committed to anything.The only way to get it back was to go through some horridly fiddly process of proving I owned the domain (?) which took hours of my time and continuously failed. I'm completely stuck in what was supposed to be a super quick and simple task, that ended up in days of back and forth.To add to the damage, their customer support is non-existent - it's literally impossible to talk with a human, and instead they have some incompetent chat bot and pages of text to read through to figure out how to solve the issue (note: after a few hours, NONE of the solutions worked). Their support emails are no-reply, and completely automated. They continued to prompt me to go to the "Admin Console" which was non-existent since I hadn't actually subscribed to the service. Any attempt to log in and fix the problem would resort me to a blank page with the overpriced offer thrown in my face, with no menu or option to see other offers or proceed in any other way. Thus, the only way to move forward was to purchase the offer they were forcing in front of me, and then proceed to cancel (which was an absolute farce as well).This has been hands down the worst service experience I've ever had. What an utter disappointment to see what used to be such a decent service, fall to pieces like this. 3 days of my valuable time wasted. Avoid at all costs.

I can't believe how bad this experience has been

I opened an account and sent a small test amount to a vendor. On the second try, it went through, so I know everything was set up and working OK. But when I tried to pay the same company again, I got a payment declined message. I continued trying and getting declined for a week. I emailed, chatted, and talked to a rep on the phone. I removed and re-added my bank account. Nothing worked. Finally, I asked the rep if this meant that nothing could ever be done to fix my problem and he said yes. I believe him. Venmo can't perform the service they advertise.
