Review of porsche

I bought a new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS…

I bought a new Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS in November last year 2023. I've covered 1700 mile in the car since collection. On the 4th of November 2024 I was sent a letter instructing me not to drive the car as it was unsafe to do so. The problem is that the centre wheel nut can fail leading to the wheel falling off. After a visit from a Porsche technician to my house I learn that these wheel nuts (being only one of them securing each wheel on) have a failure point and always have had. I think this is pretty obvious if you think about it. If the nut is under tightened it could fall off and if over tightened could be over stretched and it could fall off. Porsche are actually blaming a manufacturing fault on the nut itself but I now have my doubts and don't feel at all safe ever driving this car again. In general the only time a wheel would be removed from your car would be in a tyre change or service situation, meaning the responsibility for ensuring your life is not lost from the detachment of your wheel on the road is essentially that of a stranger's without your supervision. Who would take responsibility for it or found responsible for it falling off? Bottom line is, Porsche or a tyre replacement centre wouldn't because of how they could hide behind doubt that someone else could have tampered with it.It has seriously rattled me and now I don't think I could ever be confident of driving such a high performance car with one centre wheel nut holding the wheels on safely. I will now need to sell the car but sadly at a time I was not expecting to, thus costing me a huge amount of money because of it being quite possibly the most expensive time in a cars lifetime to do so. No one at Silverstone Porsche wants to know or compensate me because they are just a car garage running a business and they couldn't give a monkeys because money is money and business is business, typical motor trade. They have offered to buy it from me at an extortionately low price ( well what do you expect). Porsche GB are wanting to sweep the whole incident under the carpet as quickly as possible and are relying on a brand loyalty customer base not to complain (that seems to be working). The replacement parts for the faulty wheels nuts they don't have a date for the supply of yet. This in itself leaves me with a car that I can't sell because its not safe and a car I'm paying for that I cant drive. Its pretty disgusting don't you think. Just because you spend £170,000 does not entitle you to high levels customer loyalty from Porsche to encourage repeat business like it used to. You need the really big boys for that like Rolls Royce or Aston Martin.Porsche, you really do need to look after your customers properly and much better than you currently do, as one day your loyal customer base may not be there to save you.

Review of amazon

We previously used Amazon Marketplace…

We previously used Amazon Marketplace to purchase items for our company sites. However, we have since discontinued using the platform due to ongoing issues with invoicing and payment reconciliation.A major concern was the inability to receive a single consolidated invoice for purchases. Items were frequently split across multiple invoices by various third-party suppliers, making the reconciliation of our credit card statements unnecessarily time-consuming and frustrating.Additionally, we noticed discrepancies between the prices quoted at checkout and the actual charges on our credit card. In several instances, suppliers added unexpected costs after the purchase was completed.Attempts to contact Amazon to address these concerns proved extremely difficult, with limited options for direct support or clear resolution.

Old brand email provider. I use it as my primary email account for over 20 years. As the Gmail is blocked in China, Outlook is the best email server provider in my opinion.

Review of foursquare

Good luck getting away - if somebody used your email to sign up

One day I looked in my email inbox and saw an email from Foursquare. This was strange, as I never signed up. Apparently somebody else used my email to sign up. This is of course not Foursquares fault, but they should have set up an email check, sending an email to the address with an email confirmation link.I write Foursquare, asking them to remove my email from there system. They then send me an email with a link to an unsubscribe page (not really what I asked for).I then write them, that I found that link, but the buttons do not work (there are two buttons on the page you are taking to); furthermore, I do not want to unsubscribe, I want them to remove me from there system. Apparently they misunderstand the part of the buttons not working, and write to me, that the link should work, and then send me a picture of the buttons: "It should look like this".I then write, that it is the buttons shown on the picture which do not work, but non the less, this do not alter, that I want them to completely remove me from their system. Their reply: "...login to your account via the computer and... Uncheck all boxes that do not apply."Here I am pretty amazed. It seems that they have not understood, that the account is not mine; if it was mine, I would of course have logged in and unsubscribed/deleted my account.I then write them: "I hope you see the irony in this", again asking them to remove my email from their database.Their reply:"We're sorry for the confusion. However, I looked into our database and found this profile with your email: ~LINK~".I think:"Fine, delete the account."Their email continues:"Unfortunately, we cannot delete user accounts. To delete your account, please follow these steps on a computer", and then a step by step to delete "my" account.I think:"Your account? Have they not understood what I just wrote, this is not my account."I then go to their page, "try" to log in with my email, ask for a "forgot password" recovery email. Set the password to something arbitrary, log in, and delete the account.I hope I am not breaking any law doing so.

Review of delta

From best service to worst

We spent over 5 hours stuck in a hot plane without food. Then they deplaned us. 10 total hours stuck at the airport. Then 13 stuck at a hotel. I missed a shift that cost me $187 in wages. After almost 5 hours in a Customer Service message thread, Delta offers me a $100 voucher, as if I want to fly with them again. Oh, and they refused to give us SkyMiles for our outbound flight. Over $1000 of flights and 0 miles after all that. And then they refused to send me a copy of the 5 hour message thread. Mechanical issues happen. But they could have made up for it with excellent customer service. Instead, they did the opposite. What a horrible experience.

Review of squarespace

Absolute travesty of a website builder, zero customer service

Website editor is clunky, portfolio is terrible, gallery editor deletes and rearranges photos, and customer support has ignored almost every single request I've made. Let's go bit by bit:Website editor:It used to be better. I used SS years ago and there was more control over the layout. They've simplified it so much that there are really only a few options right now. And, since I want the background of my photo gallery to be clean white with black font, SS made me change ALL of my pages to white bg with black font. It's absolutely infuriating trying to make anything that doesn't look like it was halfheartedly thrown together like a neighborhood of pre-fab cookie cutter homes. SS tells you what your few options are, and that's it.Portfolio:It's strictly "upload photos and choose one of our six displays." That's it. I'm not adding or subtracting anything from the functionality. It does require you to build a cover for your portfolio, which is really just a dead landing page that makes no sense. The one and only use for creating a new portfolio is to have a subdirectory of galleries. But then you're stuck with the portfolio template when you'd be better off just making your own.Gallery editor:Oh boy. I've spent my entire day trying to upload 30 photos. Yes, seriously. From 9:30 in the morning until 5:15 in the afternoon, I've been trying to get SS to upload 30 photos in the order that I want without cropping them. Most gallery options will crop your photos to fit them all to the same aspect ratio. If you choose one that allows you to use your own crops, then you have to deal with it constantly deleting, adding, and rearranging photos. This one is so bad it gets several paragraphs:- The gallery editor first asks you to select files to upload. I named my photos 1-30 so they would upload in the correct order. Except sometimes 11 or 18 are at the bottom, or maybe 27-30 show up at the top, or maybe 13 and 14 have switched places. No big deal, right? Just drag and drop until they're in the correct places...but no, that doesn't work either.- Trying to move one photo often results in either the deletion of that photo or others randomly being moved around. Instead of placing the photo where it's wanted and pushing everything else down by one spot...I don't know, I guess they have a Yahtzee shaker or a Bingo cage. I don't know how it manages to move so many photos to random places. It's like someone got fired from SS and decided this would be their last act of malice. It's truly infuriating.- Once the gallery editor decides that it wants a photo in a certain location, that's where that photo will stay. The only solution I've found is to delete the troublesome photo, upload it again, and hope that you can drop it in the correct place without SS shuffling the rest of the gallery. It keeps reassigning photos to the top spots seemingly at random. I click on the first one and shift+click the fourth one to select a group of four, but somehow end up with a selection of 22 photos. Fine, I'll try just the first three because they're on the same row. Nope, now I get 19 photos instead of three. Or 20 photos instead of three. After I deleted these photos individually, I wound up losing an additional five photos somehow.- The only way I've found to lessen the damage of the gallery editor is to delete the entire gallery, back out of editing the page, start again, and upload the entire gallery again and hope it goes well this time. If it doesn't, just try a few more times. You have to get lucky for it to be perfect. If it rearranges, duplicates, or misses photos, your best bet is to delete the entire gallery and start over yet again.Support:They just responded for the first time ever since I've been railing them on social media for a week. Chat never works and nobody ever responds to emails. I'm almost 100% certain they don't actually have a support department. They just added the contact buttons for appearances.I'm struggling really hard with SS because I've already paid for it and I'm incredibly broke. I need these photo galleries to work. I need the store to work. I need SS to actually let me make a website that isn't worse than a GeoCities page from 25 years ago.I have a thousand more complaints about SS but I have to see if my 30 photos have uploaded correctly this time. I have literally spent my entire day doing this over and over again because I desperately need a working website to earn money, which I will promptly use to pay a webdev to get me the F off of squarespace.
