GoPro Subscription Scam Buyer Beware!!

GoPro refused to refund an auto-subscription renewal that I had unknowingly purchased as part of a bundle. Due to illness in the family, I have not even used the items that I purchased in the bundle. If I could return it for a refund I would. GoPro is nothing more than a part of a corporate universe that insists on fleecing people to the tune of $49.99 per year for a subscription that is absolutely useless! They tack it onto a bundle and leave unsuspecting buyers believing that they are getting some kind of a deal when in fact they are being conned by the unethical and immoral practice of swindling their customers. Never again will I purchase a GoPro product. Not even an advance email to warn customers of an impending auto renewal to give those who want, an opportunity to cancel and save $49.99. I have never used the subscription, never will, and intend on doing everything in my power to post this on every site possible to warn others of this unscrupulous business practice of GoPro. This company should be ashamed of using other peoples hard earned money to advance their profits by fleecing others during a pandemic. Instead of stepping up and being of service to people, their business model is one of pure greed and thievery. I encourage others to post this wherever you can to disrupt the business of GoPro until they change their business model. Let's join together to disrupt and financially affect the future for GoPro. I intend on filing a complaint against this company with my states Attorney General in order to stop GoPro from this illegal practice and impose fines as well as to make restitution for those affected by this process. I hope others will do the same and convict this company of its wrongdoing. At $49.99 per person, they have made a ton of money off the backs of would be enthusiasts who purchase their already overpriced products. Let's put an end to these practices once and for all! In the screenshot below, it clearly states 1 year subscription. It states nothing about an auto-renewal!

Your descrptions of services differences and price bundling are make it easier to decide what I need and want. I am 76 years old and need more support focus on solid value and dividend paying companies. Your bias is tends toward finding growth companies earlier on which has both more upside and downside.

Full of cheating scammers!!!

New to Depop and what a awful experience I've had. Sold 3 items straight away then they all asked for my email or phone number. Then my phone starts a Depop customer services chat saying that I need to verify my bank to receive the funds, then £46.61 was taken by a company called Hellcase. My bank's fraud team are now involved. Depop are terrible for protecting their customers by allowing this to happen. Full of cheating scammers!!!! Deleted my account straight away.and I'll be sticking with Vinted from now on.

your response time is shocking. you closed my account due to drop shipping, yet no rules were broken. your website states that drop shipping hand made items is allowed, i’ve provided you with the proof you requested (invoices) and you’ve YET to get back to me. you have taken almost £200 from me, absolutely ridiculous.i WILL be taking this further.

Food shopping with Amazon

I ordered a lot of items from the Morrison's Amazon shopping website in case people haven't used it. It's where you use Amazon to buy your shopping from Morrisons and they deliver when my shopping arrived. It was in several bags that were damaged. The bags had been damaged because the shopping was late the ice blocks most of them had melted leaking whatever is in them all over the food and the bags most of the food was defrosted which means cannot be refrozen again and some of the food that had been placed between ice blocks had frozen. This food was not meant to be frozen in the first place. Big bottles had been put on top of bread which squashed it so basically most of the showroom was damaged after complaining to Amazon they asked me to send some pictures. I did this Lou then sent me a message saying there was nothing wrong with any of the food. What had been defrosted just use impossible. Use 5 days worth of shopping in one day and they were not going to refund me for any of it so I had five bags roughly if damaged food which they would not take or accept responsibility for times are hard to start with. You always pay more when shopping with Amazon shopping, but I did this because I thought it would be easier and more convenient at the time. So my shopping cost me twice as much and I still had to go to the store. It's self at the end of it all. Avoid buying your shopping on Amazon. This has got to be the worst experience I've ever had

SLIDESHARE IS A SCAM: DON'T SIGN UP

As far as I can tell, Slideshare is a scam. I had to sign up for it in order to rent a film. It is somehow connected to Linked In. I have tried to cancel the account but there is no menu item to do so. I got a message that I've have a contract to use the site for three months before I can cancel. I don't remember being informed about any contract. The only way I can get rid of it is cancel the credit card I signed up with. This stinks.

KAYAK IS A SCAM!

KAYAK IS A SCAM!I purchased a flight I found on KAYAK. When I purchased KAYAK directed me to a "partner company" called Chatdeal.On May 31st, 2024 I received an email notification that British Airways CANCELLED my flight. I was scheduled to depart to Berlin on June 1st, 2024. I contacted British Airways to inform them that I cannot rebook that flight in a different schedule. They informed me that they will refund my "Travel Agency" and that I must contact them.I called Chatdeal's "customer service" number +1 855 920-9942 over 5 times already and the only thing they do is redirect you to fill-out a "Form" that they send you via SMS. I have filled-in that form over 3 times now.After you submit the Form there is no response. I have been waiting for 3 weeks now for a refund of a round-trip flight from SFO to BER. I was stupid enough to also purchase the "Support Bundle" and the "Cancel for any reason" services. The total amount paid was $1,543.87, receipt number is K52DFA6.KAYAK should be ashamed by using "partner companies" to be scamming their customers. No wonder they spend all that money on adds to allure new victims, I mean customers.I am still waiting for customer service to respond and refund me.

Beware of taking out a free month…

Beware of taking out a free month subscription- you cannot cancel online but have to call a number. Then the assistant says that you need to wait 5 minutes while the ‘system loads’. In the meantime heaps lots of pressure on you to keep the subscription. Had I not got a refund for month that I hadn’t meant to pay for (48 hours cancellation needed) i would have made a formal complaint. I wonder whether this is all above board...

Service is really bad

Service is really bad. I wanted to cancel the subscription and it was an awful experience. They hided the cancel option so you can not really cancel it after buying their product. They don't have phone customer service, which means you deal with email customer support, they don't response quick, you are in trap. Please, don't buy anything from square space!

Redbubble abuses artists

Redbubble used to be a good way for artists to make another side income. This changed April 23 ago when they introduced a tier system and placed most artists in the ‘standard’ tier where they clawed back up to 45% of artists commissions. Many artists were forced to increase their margins to achieve the same income result. It was very unclear (if not impossible) to understand how an artist could ever move to the non fee paying tier. Yesterday Red Bubble sent another email to artists saying they were changing the fees and that most would only be affected by $1. They must think artists are stupid or masochists, as I crunched the numbers comparing existing fees to new fees and on a $25 sale, they now take 68% of the artists commission back from them and thats an increase of $6.25 in fees on one sale, so I don’t know who does their maths!! I closed my shop immediately and suggest all artists do the same. Do not accept such abusive appalling from behaviour from a large company towards artists in the midst of a cost of living crisis. General public, don’t buy from them, shareholders - does it feel good to be a shareholder in a company that has these ethics?
