Never got a refund for a cancelled "Evening with Al Pacino" event in April 2023. Tried many times without success to get my money back. Surely this shambles of an organisation should not be allowed to exist!

Emirates Damaged Equipment in Luggage and Refused Compensation

On May 20, 2025, I flew on Emirates flights EK2471/DXB/EK203 from Tel Aviv to New York.One suitcase contained a personal computer, and the other had a monitor. Both items were securely packed in protective cases and bubble wrap.Upon receiving my luggage, I discovered that the packaging had been tampered with—the monitor was shattered, and the PC case had cracks, including a broken tempered glass side panel.I filed a complaint with Emirates' claims department, but they stated that the airline "is not liable for fragile items in checked luggage". However, it was evident that the luggage had been opened and inspected without my presence—there were clear signs of forced entry on the suitcases.Conclusion: Emirates not only handles baggage carelessly but also systematically ignores complaints.If you're carrying anything valuable, think twice before choosing this airline.Getting compensation will likely require legal action, which means wasted time and unnecessary stress.Avoid the hassle—consider alternative carriers.

The hotel in Nonthaburi was not good.

The hotel in Nonthaburi was not good.I was given the wrong information about travel to the immigration building by them before. originally they told me it would be 20 mins max, but when I got there they said it would take an hour. They didn't show me to my room when I arrived - I had to ask and the breakfast was truly awful hard bread and uncooked eggs. I could say more but don't want to waste any more time.

Misleading Email campaign

As others, I too have received emails stating that I am mentioned in so and so many publications. Indeed, when I check my account with Academia.edu, it is claimed that I am mentioned in 88 publications(!)Truth be told, I have published nothing worth quoting, nor is there any reason that I should be mentioned in any academic context. Of course, to see those 88 "mentions", I would have to pay.I've tried to contact Academia.edu. Twice. The first time I received a non-answer, the second time no answer at all. I asked to have just a couple of examples of mentions, so I can verify that it is correct. And if that would be the case, I would have purchased a subscription. But of course, when there are no mentions, no examples can be given.Academia seems to be willing to use lies in order to make people pay. This is not a site, which deserve to use its name.

Not the first time we have reason to complain, but to WHOM, therefore, warning YOU

As many ESPN+ customers have said, "If I could've given zero stars, I would have!" For three years now... I can hear ya'll now, "First time, THEIR fault, second time, YOURS!" I hear you, I do; if my Husband, who is compromised in many ways healthwise, didn't love his university football and basketball, I wouldn't have given ESPN+ the time of day past the first year's third week. Problems: TERRIBLE streaming ability; game goes out more often than it's on; "We are unable to play this video at the moment. Please try again later." shows up more than game play. Another problem we have is the number of commercials that DO present during streaming, C'MON, we're all already paying for this service, ESPN+!!! Many of those commercials are overlapping game play!!! The first year, I called to get a human when I cancel; was definitely going to give our complaints... never got a single human on the phone, so, therefore, I did cancel online AFTER going through a maize to be able to do so. The second year ( my Precious Husband was unable to comprehend why I didn't want to subscribe and there's no way I'd break his heart) I went ahead and cancelled online AND got to talk to a human when several of our schools' important games were dropped from ESPN+ and change of broadcast not listed on regular ESPN satellite service. The Human at that time said there was a last minute bidding and the games' broadcasts were picked up by other networks. For one of those games, by the time we found out where we could watch the rest of the game, it was 4th Q, less than 7 minutes to play. OK, by that time I could've blown a fuse just by standing near a power pole, but, but, but, THIS year, didn't want to subscribe myself, but you already know why I did, and what I noticed is: more commercials during gameplay; same ridiculous streaming issues; game video just plain dropped (!!!) and more & more conference games are "on" (and I'm using this term very loosely) ESPN+ rather than broadcast on cable/satellite or plain old TV reception. What is wrong with conferences/schools agreeing to STILL be broadcast on ESPN+???? If it wasn't for my Husband, for whom I'd subscribe again, ESPN+ wouldn't see another cent from us!

Atrocious support

These other review and the 1.1 rating are spot on! I just closed my account. Hadn't used it in a while, needed to send some money to a family member, and the transaction kept failing. Trying to get support is a joke! I had called my bank first, and there were not seeing any declined transactions from Venmo. The contact us phone number points you to webpages, no way to talk to a human on the phone. Chatting with the AI bot took about 20 minutes to get into a queue of 32 people to chat with a human. Then the answer was "I do apologize but since the declines are automated by the system we are unable to overwrite it, or to push the payment to go through. I recommend trying a different funding source and waiting about 3 to 4 hours before attempting the transaction again. Let me know if there’s anything else I can do to help!" What kind of company refuses to help resolve a problem with their service? Goodbye Venmo.

Very smooth process, absolutely nothing to complain about!

When buying tickets on Songkick I felt no (negative) difference with my experience via other websites like Ticketmaster or Seetickets. The process was quick, the site intuitive, it didn't have any problems loading and I would happily use it again. If I could make one suggestion it would be to allow users to save payment details in order to make the next transaction even quicker but it's not a massive sticking point. I will definitely be using them again!

Do NOT purchase a Samsung refrigerator

Do NOT purchase a Samsung refrigerator! My refrigerator is 4 years old and has been out since October 25th 2022. Four (4) service calls later (the latest one today) and might I add 4 days missed at work, and still no refrigerator. The repair company is replacing part after part and still Samsung refuses to allow us a new refrigerator. The refrigerator looks great but doesn't work at all.

news.com.au regularly appears in my web news feeds on desktop and mobile. They are the scum of the earth when it comes to news reporting. They give the media a bad name. Their headlines are full of click bait. They glorify violence and everything bad in the world with their terrible viewpoint. Very negative and depressing. It's like a bunch of trashy tabloid writers and got together to make a website. It's shameful on every level and moves the human race back a step for simply existing. How can they hide behind a URL and dare to call it news is beyond me. Their website should be deleted immediately for glorifying violence. And all news com.au reporters should become drug store paperback novelists.
