Review of academia

A perfect platform for my papers

Non-stop whingeing from reviewers might put people off this fantastic platform. I have never had a single problem from spamming or subscription charges. I pay for the Premium level because it gives you an excellent website without having to pay for a domain name. As a non-academic there is no other way for me to get my papers noticed. I have had several thousand views and many downloads from over 60 different countries. I have been contacted by students and academics alike. Any minor issues are dealt with quickly and efficiently by the excellent and courteous help desk. I cannot fault Academia in any way whatsoever (disclaimer - I am a film historian not an employee of Academia).

No support and laughable system

I created an account during one of their many sales.I subscribed for the SoleTrader account. After a few days, I was looking for the option to adjust my tax allowance. I was told by their support I would need to upgrade to the Simple Start plan to do so. Which I did.After upgrading, it became apparent the feature does not exist on that plan. So I asked to be downgraded. They told me the only way to do that is to call sales and have a new account set up. Which I did.During the set up of the new account their sales representative tried to switch me from yearly to monthly billing, which is considerably more expensive. After I pointed out their mistake, they said they'll have to set up yet another account to remedy it.Finally, everything was ok. Then, they started charging me for the accounts that were created due to their error. I called in and asked to have the accounts cancelled and only my last one be left active. Which I was assured they did.Today I received an email saying that my correct account was cancelled due to missed payment. Their support phone line is less than helpful as the only solution provided was to subscribe for yet another account or resubscribe the one they mistakenly cancelled. Both of which would require me to pay again for a product I paid for.

Pay to see there is no asnwer

I signed up to see a reply for a question; this was my only reason to sign up. They were showing a reply was available but after signing up, the reply shown was some random text which did not help at all with the question. I closed the site and never opened it again.I got in touch to ask for a refund due to this fraud, and they said it was not possible. I asked why and they refused to disclose the reason.My suggestion is to stay away. They take advantage of people who are desperate by promising answers but they don't fulfill their end of the bargain.

Don't bother. Buy an Xbox

They'll make false promises, waste your time, hang up on you, and ultimately still fail to fix your issue, leaving you worse off than you started. Moreover, not one person will apologize for the inconvenience. The customer service philosophy at playstation is "tough luck to you". The consoles are defective (PS4 & PS5) and incredibly buggy, and the troubleshooting will cost you time and money.

Frustrating european site

I enjoy A&F clothes and quality, but their online store leaves quite a lot to be desired. I am in Greece, and therefore, despite how much I spend and having "free delivery for orders over___" all over the site, I still must pay 10 euros each time for delivery. This wouldn't be so frustrating, but stock is always limited, so I am never able to shop for all the items I want at the same time, which means there are items I simply give up on purchasing because I don't want to rack up lots of separate orders, paying 10 euros shipping each time. When it comes to returns, it took 3 weeks for me to receive a refund. Plus, there are multiple influencer discount codes for those shopping in the UK and US, but these never apply to us in Europe. I just feel like the European online store is a bit neglected and doesn't enjoy the same benefits of others.

2 Heartlands CourtWhitburnEH47 0TBScotlandMonopoly is running in mcd so decided to Purchased 2 Supersized meals, one of which was a 1 x Large Double 1/4 pounder meal ( which is a Quarter pounder with an extra patty with a Cappachino coffee , despite paying the extra for the larger meal was charged a further 40p for large Coffee, on the board in the payment area it clearly states 5 Monopoly tickets included with the meal , When I received the meal there was 1 Ticket on the Large fries only, Zero on the drink and zero on a Double 1/4lb burger, I asked by one of the staff about this and apparently they do not give these Stickers with Hot Drinks which I said OK (but why advertise as 5 Per Meal) then I asked about my double 1/4 burger again Zero Monopoly stickers (being at least 2 short) I was then told sorry asIt’s a Double 1/4lb burger they don’t come with any Monopoly Stickers, I then asked the duty manager and got the exact same response despit me paying £8 plus for this meal so they actual give you 2 monopoly sticker with a supersized meal and not 5 as they clearly advertise in there restaurant , The 2nd meal was similar with a Latte Coffee and no stickers but the Burger did have the stickers attached. Spent £17 plus In total for 2 meals which turned out with 4 stickers in total instead of the advertised 10 (5 Per meal) to me it’s disgusting and wrong and false advertisement , I’ll never set foot in there again , Totally Conned out of Cash & very disappointing

Complaint Form Rejected. SAFU scam.

Complaint Form RejectedYour USDⓈ-M Vadeli İşlemler complaint with Appeal ID 202401031741362695301508326 is rejected.I got this email after 20 days. Binance had a system crash and I could not add funds or close my positions during the system crush for almost 20 minutes during the 3rd jan system crash. They also made an explanation in X about it. So i asked them for an explanation and compensation as it was their fault. They did not let me add funds or place my orders. I had network errors and the system logged me out i could not log in for a time. When i succeeded to log in finally i noticed that i was liquidated. This is not investment or something else its just a scamming people. Stealing their money. Why the have SaFU then. What is my fault in this issue rather than trusting binance.they have all log records and they thay had a system crash even notifications and alert did not work during crash. Being the biggest exchange not mean the biggest fraud.Case id 116005374 and appeal id202401031741362695301508326
