First time using website and will be the last time. Booked a villa for 14 nights and then the host messaged saying the price was incorrect (it should be much more) and the villa wasnt available on dates booked. They offered other dates and then wouldnt refund the £1,000 deposit. I had to reach out to Vrbo directly to get a refund, but lost money in the process as part of the exchange rate. This should not have happen if refunded same day and why should I incur a loss for host and Vrbos mistake. Will book with legit holiday company.

JustGiving took a 15% "voluntary contribution" on top of my donation. I didn't volunteer to make any such contribution.Unimpressive, to say the least. 11 days ago I asked JustGiving to refund this. They said it would take 5-10 working days. It takes this length of time because JustGiving choose to take this length of time to make refunds. Anyone with an online bank account can make such a transfer within minutes.JustGiving insult people's intelligence by pretending otherwise.I haven't received my refund so I queried this. JustGiving tell me that they haven't actually processed the refund yet. This, again, says a lot.I donated to a worthwhile cause, but in future I will avoid anything that involves JustGiving.

I am an author who writes for pleasure and posterity. I’m not interested in writing the next best seller nor making money from writing. Having said that, my 3 travelogue books received good Amazon reviews.I recently discovered that my toxic, soon to be ex brother in law had rated all 3 of my books 1 star on goodreads with no written review. He couldn’t write a review because he hasn’t read them. He ticked the box ‘to read’. He rated them all on the same day at the same time and hasn’t rated any other books.Sooooo obviously malicious ratings. I contacted Goodreads, pointed this out and asked them to remove the ratings. After a series of to and fro emails, they refused as they said the ratings didn’t break their rules. In other words, their rules allow people who admit to not having read a book, to rate it. I got nowhere with their customer care (oxymoron) team, so wrote to their CEO. No response.What makes this debacle worse is that Amazon (their parent company) can randomly remove ratings if they ‘believe’ they were written by a friend or relative (even if they are genuine reviews) - BUT - they only apply this to positive ratings. Ie they think if you know someone they may give you overly positive / inflated ratings, yet when my brother in law (we both dislike each intensely) gave his malicious ratings of books he hadn’t read, they are allowed to remain. Furthermore, I am not allowed to remove my books from Goodreads.Goodreads demonstrated in spades that they have no integrity nor care a dot for authors - and seem to forget that if it wasn’t for authors - they wouldn’t exist. Shame on you Goodreads. Shame.

I’ve ordered a few items on two different occasions this year and the same thing happened both times: of the items I ordered, at least half didn’t arrive but Wayfair and their lackeys at FedEx marked them as delivered and FedEx used the same picture of one box as proof that several items were delivered in a single box. Next, Wayfair fought me about about whether the item was delivered. Then they said that they had sold out of the item and took forever to refund my money. I can’t say for sure that Wayfair has fraudulent intentions, but I can point out the coincidences and that, both times, the effect was the same as if they had fraudulent intentions. I will never buy anything from Wayfair again

No phone support for a $90 product. Simple menu update took 24 hours to publish across platforms (chrome and iPhone responded very differently). Theme is nice to look at and should be easy to use, but it is incredibly frustrating when you have a problem.

I am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with your services. In my opinion, your company is nothing but a big sham. My store was blocked for no apparent reason, and when I contacted your support team, they told me that my case was being transferred to a specialist team. However, it has been 10 days since then, and I have not received any updates from your so-called "specialist team."Your customer service team only provides me with the same copy-and-paste responses every time I reach out to them. Entrusting one's business to Shopify is very dangerous unless you are engaged in high-level online fraud, in which case they are happy to have you as a customer in order to collect their commission. Shopify is a real dictatorship. They seem to forget that without us, they would not exist.I urge potential customers to be wary and take all negative comments seriously before deciding to do business with Shopify.

I booked a points stay in December 2023. On the morning of the booking, my dad was taken into hospital and I was unable to travel and therefore did not check into my room with Holiday Inn Kensington. Today, 27th Feb 2024, they have charged me £193 for not checking in and credited my points back. It is absurd that they are not prepared to just accept the points payment when you don't check in. This is seriously unfair and I doubt I will use IHG again.

For international shipping, Etsy automatically charges taxes but if the seller does not apply the rules for export and does nor show in the paperwork the taxes that have already been paid on Etsy, the buyer will pay the same tax again plus a handling fee. And you can not complain about it at Etsy assistance. Of course I write a bad review for the seller . My other question is : where do the taxes that I pay at Etsy go if they are asked twice at customs? You would thing that these uncollected taxes are additional income for Etsy...
