I booked a points stay in December 2023. On the morning of the booking, my dad was taken into hospital and I was unable to travel and therefore did not check into my room with Holiday Inn Kensington. Today, 27th Feb 2024, they have charged me £193 for not checking in and credited my points back. It is absurd that they are not prepared to just accept the points payment when you don't check in. This is seriously unfair and I doubt I will use IHG again.
