Amazon was a terrible experience for me. They blamed me for not receiving a package I ordered, even though it never made it to my address. They threatened to terminate my account if this persisted, which only made the situation worse. When they use drivers who are unable to deliver to the correct address, how am I at fault? Their customer service is appalling for a business of its magnitude.

I was warned by friends and family not to use Amazon has so many parcels go missing and trying to get it sorted with them is like speaking to a wall, and they deliberately mess you around so you will give up and forget it, so it happened I ordered a item has it was a car part which is hard to get, and yes the item never arrived so has I explained I'm going through the getting messed around caper, there communication is terrible and yes I'm going around in circles, at least on eBay they try to help you resolve the problem, but with Amazon lesson learnt never again, be warned amazon is nothing but a bunch of thieves steal your parcel and no refund or replacement.
Review of kickstarter
There are some amazing innovations on Kickstarter. I've backed and received 4/6 projects. But you DO have to watch out. There are no guarantees. It's not like online shopping. Every now and again, there's either a full-on scam campaign that takes the money and runs. Or there's a campaign where I truly believe the creator's heart was in the right place, but due to their ambition and lack of experience, they aren't able to deliver on the promise. I've had 2 projects drop out from underneath me. One was ~$50 so I wasn't too worried, but the other was a big chunk. I wish there were more guarantees and protections for the backers that make this platform possible. Maybe worth exploring other similar platforms for one that is more backer-focused?

Hotel sent a message cancelling my booking 3 days before arrival, (in a foreign country) they then proceeded to advice me wrong, they cancelled the booking offering me a discount that I can’t use on an alternative property of my liking and basically aren’t providing any further support. Now I’m left with 3 days to find alternative accommodation with limited availability in the arrival country. I will never use this company again!

Review of vrbo
VRBO supposedly will refund 100% within 5 business days if you cancel and booking at the appropriate time. I booked a trip in January, paid, then later extended the trip by 2 days and paid again in April. Unfortunately I had to cancel end of April and I received my refund to the second payment quickly. After 3 weeks I still haven’t received my refund for the first larger payment (over $1200!). I chatted with an agent and first they said I was fully refunded. Then they said it is “processing” and to check with my bank (I paid with Visa). What is that supposed to mean? The app is complicated and confusing for situations beyond booking and paying them money. I called VRBO by phone and they say they refunded me. They pointed out a page that says it’s been updated, but when I click on “Get refund status” a chat window appears that clearly shows only the second payment was refunded. Now I am in the process of sending them my Visa statements (Jan-May!!) to prove they didn’t refund me. I called Visa and they couldn’t find it either but helped me find how I can get my statements. All of this headache for something that should be so simple and straightforward. And I have to prove they didn’t refund me when the problem is on their end!!! (Thankfully the agent I spoke to was sympathetic and helpful.) I will update this if and when I get my refund. Then I want out! UPDATE: I sent all of my Visa statements and they responded that they see no evidence of my first payment even though it is clearly on my January statement. So I have resent it with specific page and date reference. What a scam…FINAL UPDATE: After all of that I finally got my full refund, after a lot of unnecessary effort and frustration. I tried to delete my account but it says I can’t until I finish my trip (which I cancelled so I’m confused). Well I deleted the app anyway and I’m done with them.
Review of unity
Come to find out that the new swathe of "MMO" (make money online) games by Unity are fraudulent, they don't PAYOUT to users even after I've wasted a good 16 solid hours finding out the hard way, so you don't have to... Would be interesting to reach out to a PayPal executive and ask them specifically, have PayPal "partnered" with ANY Unity-made games.... While they are graphically stunning and gameplay is immersive, they promise that you can earn REAL MONEY, SPENDABLE and you simply cannot, even after jumping hoops, they lay out more hoopsI will update my name and shame list but "Lotto Scra(t)ch triple win" is a SCAM, fake money game, you will never ever cash out because it gets stuck on 47/50 diamonds to enable cash out and you will never get the last 3 because i watched 40 ads after 47/50 all it gives is coins and amazon points which are useless if you cant actually Receive. That's just 1 exampleOther UNITY games like Coppa Boom are also doubtful to payout with thousands of people in a "queue" after watching hundreds of ADS and OF COURSE it's digital meaning that queue number may just stop one day and again...prevent cash out.I'm not sure about this other drama with UNITY as a company, but it seems like the Game Developers are no angels, the Devs are scamming the public by getting us to watch hundreds of ADS in your fake-cash games, not to mention against a back drop of False Advertising to players... You OWE me in excess of £30,000 across numerous fake money games that have been allowed on the Google Play store!!!So bad is the irony of UNITY that Not only the company themselves scam the developers, the Devs then Scam the players, the people that USE the apps you made, with UnityTo me the situation sounds very Fragmented.... Unity needs some Very Heavy regulating by a government watchdog, some oversight, and fast.Stop releasing fake cash games with false advertising! Devs AND Unity as a company need serious investigation, stop wasting public time with fake cash games

Review of smartsheet
Smartsheet was one of the few software options available at my company, and at first, it seemed like an ideal choice due to its many great features. When speaking with Smartsheet representatives, I was assured that users who only needed to view content in the workspaces I created would not be charged. However, just two months later, I was informed that all users would now require paid access for both “view” and “edit” permissions starting this year.I’ve requested an estimated price four times and am still waiting for a response. Additionally, it was never made clear that many essential features and add-ons come at an extra cost—even with a business license. Features like data offloading, uploading, Dynamic View, resource management, and various apps all require additional payments, and the costs are steep. For instance, Dynamic View alone costs nearly GBP6,000, making it unaffordable for small businesses. While Smartsheet itself is a powerful tool, its pricing structure lacks transparency, and customer support has been disappointing. The lack of upfront clarity around costs feels misleading, and I’m particularly frustrated by the poor communication regarding pricing. I’m still waiting for more details, but given the unexpected costs and lackluster support, we will likely need to explore alternative software with more competitive pricing and better customer service.
