Mr Dragan; The Cabin Crew Member Who Made a Difference

Mr Dragan! This review is about this gentleman. One of the cabin crews (maybe the head, I am not sure!) on my flight back to London. I underwent a spinal surgery in Dubai and booked a wheelchair since I was strongly advised not to walk/ stand for more than 10 minutes at the time with 30 minutes breaks. I did not have a great experience with ground staff especially for the wheelchair. I ended up walking to the gate therefore I was in serious pain when I reached the plane. At the time of check in, I requested a front seat since I kept having to stretch my legs to release pain from my spine. I was told only the cabin crew members on the plane can do that since those seats are reserved (basically cost an extra 400AED). As I entered the plane, I requested a crew member to help with allocating a seat and I was told that he cannot since these are paid seats. I presented my medical report from my surgeon and I was so lucky that Mr Dragan was standing there. The crew member then asked this gentleman and without any delays he looked at my condition and medical spine brace I was wearing and didn't think twice to allow it, making my trip much easier. I was obviously in agonising pain but the last thing you need in such situation is worrying about disturbing all the people sitting next to you and having to continuously ask them to allow you out etc. These are some people and moments that in today's world are becoming rarer and rarer, sadly. However when we experience them, I think it is important to appreciate these still-remained-humans so it can encourage and inspire others to be like them. It really doesn't take much to be nice or to express empathy. It is on the hand so easy to say No, without considering what that simple two letter word can do to a person! In our capitalist world, when money is involved, it's so easy to forget that we are human first! This is not even money going out of airline staff or crew members pocket. So how wonderful would it be if all crew members could be more like Mr Dragan. I express my utmost gratitude to this gentleman for your kindness, empathy and care. You are the type of person who is making a difference and making this world a better place! Highly recommended for multiple awards and promotions to lead as an example for others to follow suit.

Cuttly, My Go-To for Link Management!

Honestly, I don't know how I managed links before cutt.ly. This tool is just the right blend of power and simplicity. Love how it takes something as complex as tracking and turns it into a cakewalk. And those personalized QR codes? Just the icing on the cake! It's like this platform was made keeping my needs in mind. Hats off, cutt.ly, you're doing a great job!

Excellent customer service from the team at Zwilling Bicester Village

I've been using Zwilling in Bicester Village for the last four years and always find that Abby runs a great store with the help of Kent her assistant Manager and the very attentive, helpful and knowledgeable team they always offer the best possible customer service. The products are excellent quality and a great price. If you need great products at a great price and excellent service I'd recommend paying them a visit.

I purchase AC from Flipkart &; I recieved on28-09-18 & Samsung 1.5 Tone 3Star Bee rating . I order on 24sep 2018 and I recived on 28 sep 2018 on 29 sep 2018 we got sms & emailemail & sms from flipkart saying that the person will be come for theinstallation of the AC on monday 01 oct 2018 . We took the leave andstayed at home for full day but person din't come for installation Itried customer care of flipkart & samsung thay saying it willcome before 06.00 pm we waited till 08.00 pm but technician is notcome both the company are cheted please do not purchase from flipkarthence forth I will never purchase from the flipkart I have uploadphoto of the proof of the sending sms & email worst experience onflipkart.

Terrible/ no service

Terrible/ no service. Several underestimates or maybe lies about when I would receive help. Stuck for over 4 hours. Follow up phone calls. No help. Finally called a tow truck which responded in 20 minutes. Cost $147, but you CANNOT rely on AAA. Canceling my 27 year membership! CNN.

3:04 of music - 3:00 of adverts

Logged in to play a few songs and after just playing the first one ( 3:04) I had 3:00 minutes of adverts! I quickly exited the Spotify as this is kind of advertising is just a joke. If this is what they see as being able to play music on their platform then I'll stick to playing my owned albums on Winamp

Just tried to book Claremont Gardens

Just tried to book Claremont Gardens. It is a garden. All outdoors so no need for masks. Plenty of room to avoid people because it is a park. Why do I still need to book? No spaces until 3.30 on Sunday. My husband and I are members, have been for several years. Why don't we get priority? Why are we still being asked to book to walk in a park??? Not bothering now and we have pretty much decided not to renew subscription as it does not have long to go.

Yellow cabs are better than Lyft!

Our first 2 rides with Lyft were fine. We booked our 3rd ride to pick us up at a designated pick up point outside Macy’s in LA. We had to be back at our motel by 5 pm to pick up the shuttle to the airport so allowed plenty of time. We stood and waited for 30 mins for the driver, getting progressively more stressed as they didn't show up and there was no contact from Lyft. We ended up having to order a yellow cab (with the help of a lovely man from Macy’s). The yellow cab was cheaper than Lyft and got us to our motel in time. After protracted communication with them, Lyft would still not accept that the driver waited in the wrong place, even though we sent them a map, and would not refund the cancellation fee. We would never, ever use Lyft again! Go with Yellow Cabs! Friendly, helpful and cheaper!

Be Advised About Negative Reviews NOT about Abe Books

Let's be intelligent here, fair & honest. The negative reviews here are not about Abe Books, but about the shops that have offered & sell the books. It's annoying & insulting to the rest of us, & it's misdirected anger at the expense of a retail service that is exceptionally supportive of customers who use the service.Abe Books lists books that are offered for sale by other, small book stores, Abe receives the customer order then passes it along to the store for fulfillment. If what you order isn't what you receive, a quick note/e-mail to Abe will rectify the matter. I've had experience with book stores that refuse to acknowledge correspondence but a message to Abe makes all good. As for the book store directly? I keep record & simply don't bother to order from them ever again.As for the condition of books, book buyers have learned to "read between the lines" where descriptions are concerned. There are specific rules & guide-lines where conditions apply. "New", "Like New", "Fine", "Good"... used books, like old coins, have specific descriptions. BUT, just as in all aspects of life, unscrupulous sellers will simply lie or choose to disregard the general "laws". (Personally, I don't like "stock photo" images of books on-line, but that's what we get. I've already taken this up with Abe, but again, it all goes back to the book store selling the item. If they're liars, they're liars. Report enough to Abe & Abe will stop representing them.)As for reviews here, just be sure to "READ" them & check to see if they're about Abe or the book store who sent the book. And when you post reviews, please stop taking the rest of us for fools. Be specific, tell WHO sent you the item because if you're dissatisfied, it's the book store who bilked you, not Abe. And when you approach Abe, my personal experience has been that Abe will do all possible to make good.Thank you for reading this & happy reading in general.
