My experience with Tableau was in connection with Salesforce. I can say that my impression rather mixed. On the one hand, the user-friendly interface and various visualisation options are awesome. It's great for diving deep into data and discovering insights effortlessly. However, the price can be prohibitive for small budgets, and data preparation can be difficult. In addition, some custom data connectors may be required. a full tableau app review with guidance and conclusions in portal SFApps.info, where I'm an author.
