Ordered a pair of sneakers for my son online for his birthday. Price was 74.99. When I got I got the store the sales person said oh I was hoping you would call we just updated out system and it is showing that you picked them up already we just need to get your information. I said oh okay no worries it happens. Checked my bank account this morning and found not 1 but 2 charges for 74.99. I bought 1 pair of sneakers, I call customer service and "Chad" said oh yes thei first 74.99 is a pre-authorization to make sure the funds are available. EXCUSE ME!!! Why don't you just decline the transaction if the funds are available like a normal company??? He said yes I'm sorry but again it's to make sure funds are available. Okay well that is the dumbest thing I have ever heard and I order offline ALL THE TIME! It will take 2-5 business days to go back into your account. ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!! I WILL NEVER EVER SHOP DSW AGAIN, EVER.. I'm a pretty understanding person, mistakes happen, but this was no mistake this was intentional double charge. And that is HORRIBLE BUSINESS PRACTICES!!
