Be careful when renewing a subscription with a special offer link in an email from Bitdefender. I thought I was renewing my current subscription, but in fact the link signed me up to a brand new subscription. So my current subscription and the new subscription overlapped by 5 weeks. I have requested a refund. (Update: refund received quickly.) Furthermore, it's quite difficult to work out how to turn off auto renew on subscriptions. Bitdefender do not reward customers for loyalty. It's worth checking the prices of new subscriptions rather than renewing a current one.
