Review of otto
This time I'll write my review in English, just because this way it will reach more people and could potentially help any fresh expats to stay away from Otto.I already described my poo-poo experience with OTTO, where I purchased a screwdriver set that can get into your pocket, but they send me a hose the size of a large pizza. By default I always side with the worker against a corporation, as companies always undervalue and underpay workers, while overworking them, so I assume mistakes can always happen. I was extremely disappointing and frustrated when I got my package, but was willing to cut some slack to OTTO. I spoke with a very rude support representative, but it was Friday afternoon and I still tried to put myself in their shoes, OK, everyone could have a bad day. What was my expectation? Well, I lived few places around the globe and dealt with tons of online merchants, yes, sometimes mistakes do happen. In all my previous experiences, even with crappy merchants on shady platforms like AliExpress, who do not follow any local laws and guidelines, despite what they claim, I managed to either get a new shipment in, or a full refund with at least an apology. What I expected from OTTO was an experience similar to Amazon, where they do apologize, and either re-ship the item immediately, issue an immediate refund (sometimes with a coupon so they cover any difference if something is out of stock but is still sold on their platform, so you can purchase it from someone else) and basically let you dispose of stuff they sent by mistake, especially when it has zero value. So OTTO seems like a big merchant, I thought, mistakes do happen, they'll probably apologize after I left my initial review, try to find a way to compensate me for all the troubles they caused, or at least be decent human beings and refund me, no questions asked. Well I got hosed. Literary and figuratively (remember, I got a hose in the mail,a pun that is not lost on me, and is in very poor taste). After yet another communication that arose from my first review on Trust Pilot I'm now truly convinced this has been done with malicious intend from the get go. Someone in a warehouse figured out the true value of the items purchased, stole them and placed an useless hose inside. Remember, I did not purchase something and got another of higher value, it's not like I ordered screwdrivers (value in the hundreds of euros) and instead got a Miele or Bosch washing machine, I got a hose(or I got hosed, whichever you prefer). So after the frustrating back and forth with their support yet again, they kept repeating that I should waste even more precious time of my life to ship them back the useless hose, instead of being normal human beings and apologize and just issue a refund. Anyway, in the back and forth and during my research of the company the last few days(something I should have done before hand, and that is entirely on me), I came to an intriguing conclusion. The tone of the support staff (and I bet the resolutions, too) at OTTO, seems to be different depending on your name. My name is understandably East European, but there are people with Asian and African sounding names that share similar experience with me, and that shared their stories both on this platform and elsewhere. The inevitable feeling that OTTO, or people at OTTO, have different attitude toward people who don't seem German is inescapable. By the way, this is not an everyday occurrence in Germany, but the racially charged sentiment does happen from time to time and I experienced it few times, so I know very well when someone thinks you'll just not make fuss about stuff, because you are a foreigner. This is exactly what my feeling was when communicating with OTTO, the one of subtle racism. While doing the research on OTTO I also stumbled on a story from their corporate website, where they claim that a key to their success(!) is getting returns and reselling the items back on their website (this is also a successful strategy for dumpster divers, but I digress). If their PR article is indeed true, that would explain how the first time I ordered something from them, I ended up with an item in an open box, but also, why it makes sense for the company to tolerate stealing from customers and insisting on getting items back, that were sent to you by "mistake". My dear fellow customers, don't forget, the so called "free return" is never "free", it costs you time, money and frustration, and if you put that into monetary value, it ends up that you are working for OTTO, but instead of them paying you, they hose you. I wonder is it always a hose they send to you or they send you even more explicit items? How is this company in business is beyond me.
Review of lego
Multiple customer service queries have been dealt with quickly and positively by numerous customer service reps over the past few months. I have never had an issue in cancelling or returning any items and when faults have occurred or bricks missed from items these have been rectified very quickly. Overall very satisfied with this company.

Review of songkick
Tickets were later than expected and there was no evidence of the gig on the ticket issuing page so could not tell if I had been forgotten about. Tried several times to get confirmation about tickets coming and failed to get a genuine human response until I threatened to take out a complaint. It appears Songkick is a third party who buys from over agents so delays were inevitable. V disappointing I won't buy from Songkick again.

I scheduled a trip by 1 am for 7:20 am. I woke up early and tried to cancel the trip before the 1 hr charge window. But my Lyft app was frozen and wouldn’t let me access my calendar to cancel. I took a photo and chatted with customer service. They refreshed my app and told me it was my internet connection. My wifi was working, they just didn’t want acknowledge it was their fault. Deleting this hot mess.

I ordered from this webside: abercrombie.co.no. Just want to warn others since I tried to check with trustpilot at couldnt find anything about the webside. Hope abercrombie will make sure that webside gets taken down, and report it to the police. I really thougt it was the norwegian version of the webside. I will do it as well as I paid over 1000 kr for the order a month a go I never got.

Review of vrbo
My wife booked an apartment for 3 adults in Tulum, Quintana Roo, Mexico for 7 nights (including New Years Eve). Things didn't go well. Before the check in date the host did not respond to our requests for the location of the apartment or any other messages despite us paying months ago. We arrived late at night in Tulum after an 11 hour flight and over a 2 hour drive to find the host had still not responded forcing us to drive around for hours looking for the accomodation - completely unsafe and immoral! VRBO did not help us at all in this matter and we were forced to pay for a hotel in the early hours of the morning. The next day we found the location of the apartment by ourselves (via a lot of internet searching). The people running the apartment complex had no knowledge of our host or booking forcing us to book new accomodation for the rest of the trip - a tricky task as NYE was soon approaching. VRBO did not find us accomodation or assist in any positive manner. Please stay safe and avoid this company. We were forced to search the backroads of Tulum in the early hours of the morning searching for our apartment. To allow this to happen is dangerous, irresponsible and insulting to paying customers. My wife is still waiting for a refund.
