Bought leather bracelet with charm on Xmas eve.Leather detached from silver clasp within 4 weeks.Charm lost and bracelet now useless.Returned to Bolton store and refused offer of replacement. Instead spent £20 extra to purchase solid silver bracelet.Asked if any discount available to purchase new charm from them only to be told not policy to replace items even though they accepted the bracelet was at fault.Very very poor customer service.Written to their customer care but after reading other reviews do not expect any satisfaction.Simple request ignored by them..simple response from me....Will NEVER return and will make sure my opinion is shared with everyone I know..

Delivery went missing! And their ‘chat’ won’t speak to you - no phone number to contact. For a large company I am appalled at the state of their delivery and customer service - it’s non existent! I have Santa presents I’m waiting for and it’s one week to Xmas. I paid for delivery to a local shop and then the shop said they don’t take IKEA when I went there! As soon as they “got rid of seller fees”, they increased the fees to the buyer. I received an offer for a fragrance for a friend. I sent her the screen shot so she knew the total cost and she responded about 40 minutes later. When I went back to accept the offer, processing fee went up $3.00! I reached out to customer service immediately, and here is the response:“Thanks for reaching out to us. My name is Jay and I'll be assisting you.I understand your concern regarding selling fee. Let me help you with this.The selling fee on Mercari may depend on the price of the item, it can vary and it is calculated after checkout.We’re committed to learn from our users and their experience; we review these comments internally and inform the corresponding teams so we can take appropriate action.Thanks for understanding. We always want to ensure you have the best experience at Mercari”In other words, complete bs. I’m seriously considering going back to eBay for buying. People post great prices now because the sellers don’t have to over charge to balance seller fees, but now the buyer has no real need to shop on Mercari if they end up paying an additional 20-30% just to complete the transaction and get the item shipped. As an example, there’s a very expensive perfume I’m searching for. The item posted and although it was only about 60% full, she offered a great price. however by the time I went to check out, I decided not to because I could buy a brand new bottle with free shipping for $40 extra bucks. It’s just not worth it.
