Review of duolingo

It's bad now

It was good but for some reason they thought that changing the language learning app to candy crush like app was a good idea.

Review of duolingo

Don’t believe the sales pitch

Recent promotion says that they will provide notification 2days before end of trial period is a con. No notification received. Automatically charged for an annual subscription. No method to contact customer services.

They have people contacting you doing work for them and when they have to pay you for work done you realise you worked for nothing this was all a scam as now you have to pay first before they pay you for work you have done.

Review of wellsfargo

If I could give it less than the one…

If I could give it less than the one star, it would be zero. I've been a customer at this mess of a bank for 7 years. They have manipulated deposit dates and purchase dates, leading to incessant late fees and multiple transactions, and has happened multiple times costing us a total of 1009$. Customer service is nonexistent, and they have zero motivation to come to any conclusions because they are benefitting financially. We are closing our account and cancelling all direct deposits. WF preys on their customers without shame and are loud and proud about it. They've proven they're untrustworthy and inconsistent and this was my very last day spending hours on the phone educating my bankers. Save yourself the trouble, go anywhere else. 😉

Review of vodafone

Stay away from Vodafone, at any cost!!!

Since I moved to a new apartment, our wi-fi connection has gone from bad to worse. I tried to resolve the problem through the customer service. However, they haven't even tried to help me. Sometimes I had to call them many times and everytime I had to explain my problem from the start. I wish, I have not extended my contract. Please, don't even think of making a deal with them. You have many options other than Vodafone.

Review of newegg

0 Stars

0 Stars - bought a portable desk heater as a Christmas gift. The product actually started on fire. I did my holiday shopping early (November). After the heater started on fire Newegg declined to offer a refund for a defective product. I was a few days past the 30-day return policy. Should have opened the Christmas presents a few weeks earlier. I will NEVER do business with Newegg ever again!

Avoid!

Please do not buy directly from this company. They banned my review on their website and wiped it on this site too. The worst foreign customer service you could possibly imagine. Had to get my bank, PayPal and citizens advice involved just to get my £1500 back for a returned laptop. Took 4 long and stressful months.

Review of dell

I can`t understand why the reviews is…

I can`t understand why the reviews is such low here at TP. I used to buy plenty of dell`s technology and yet never complained about it. Of course, you gotta know that certain lines of their product are better than others, especially concerning how good, their PC and laptops are, though still, I have no idea what happened to people, why so much complains about one of the most quality computer brand

Review of cloudflare

Completely dropped the ball starting late July

Everything went relatively fine until a lot of sites simultaneously started getting random errors (error 520) starting from late July 2021. The Cloudflare response was pathetic. They "identified and fixed" the issue at least three times within two months, the only problem being that all users who experienced the issue continued to experience it. Communication with their tech support over two months went like this: once every two weeks a new tech support rep would pop up, apologize for the delay, ask me if I still have the problem and ask to provide all the same information. I re-submit all the same information only for another tech support rep to appear and start asking all the same questions after two weeks. Finally my patience with them was exhausted and I quit Cloudflare. Needless to say, all errors went away immediately. Unfortunately it looks like the last engineer who actually understood how all their infrastructure worked left the company leaving behind a bunch of "efficient managers" and overloaded 1st tier tech support reps...

Review of abebooks

Do NOT buy from AbeBooks

Do NOT buy from AbeBooks. The shipper was ThriftBooks-Dallas. I was sent the wrong book and have requested a prepaid shipping label multiple times from both AbeBooks and ThriftBooks. Since this was not my error you would think that they would gladly oblige and make it right. Nope! They will not pay for return shipping even when it is THEIR ERROR!! And to top it off, I still haven’t received the book I ordered!! I will never order from them again. Skip the hassle. Don’t buy from AbeBooks or ThriftBooks. Worst service ever.

Review of X (Twitter)

Twitter's great:

I'm still fairly new at twitter, but it's 100x better thaan facebook. Other than the fact the limit is 140 characters (spaces included), it's a great social media site. 140 characters is plenty for a quick tweet, enough to get your msg out.

Review of Google

Gotta pay to sign up?

Years ago, I could make a google account with an email address only. Now today, I want to sign up for a new account but could not do so unless I use a phone number that they're ok with that can accept text messages. The problem here is that I don't own a cell phone which means I have to go out and buy a phone and phone service just to have a google account? Why should I have to pay $15+/month for phone service just to have an account with a website? The least google could do is give an option to make people solve a puzzle like twitter does if they think people are robots.
