Review of fool
This is the third time I have signed up for Motley Fool. The other two times I did nothing although I could have directed some IRA funds at the time. This time I am retired, and I made it a point to start with the basic stock must-haves as keeping it in savings was a losing position. I then added based on recommendations until I reached a total of 30+ positions. I have eliminated some of the singles that were dogging and increased positions in others. Bottom line........I am at a 30% gain in two years. Now, I just review my positions monthly to get current and let it ride. Even if it drops by half, I will still let it ride and may put in some extra cash on some good businesses to dollar cost average . I believe in the value of buy and hold. Motley Fool represents my investing style, and I have no reason to look elsewhere for advice. Fun stuff.
Review of expedia
Two things are happening with Expedia at the minute. I am a Platinum member as have used them so many times, so not someone just trying to get refunds etc for nothing.1)The advertised prices of hotels now assume you are going to use any accrued Onecash credit you've built up, even though you have to click to say you want to use it on the second page. I know for future, but this is a recent change that we have not been told about (to my knowledge) so you think the initial price is before deducting the credit which it has always been in the past. I questioned this and was told its a known error with taxes not showing?? but also couldn't do anything about it as I had only taken a screen shot of the first page price, not the second. (I had taken a screenshot as this had happened before but thought I'd made a mistake with the initial price)2) They advertise Platinum member hotel prices, saying they are lower than normal. But my husband who is a non member, was searching at the same time as me for hotels and was getting exactly the same price as me......so not quite the deal after all

Needed an emergency one way ticket and they beat all the competitors hands down! Not only did I not have to pay for any luggage but also paying under $90 for a ticket booked 18 hours before the flight was amazing! Easy boarding, easy getting off the plane... I couldn't have ask for a better flight! Plus my luggage took literally 15 minutes to get (the time it took me to get to baggage claim, I waited maybe 2 minutes for both of my bags)! I wish they went more places!!!!

Made an order right before Hong Kong COVID-19 5th wave on a monitor. Monitor on the website said 3 working days to ship. Once I ordered, it turned into 30+ working days to ship. I called to cancel the order but instead, they ended up charging me twice. Fraud. Their back-end e-commerce is a joke. Trying to get a refund is difficult as their customer service is only in cantonese. Still trying to resolve this issue about being charged for a cancelled order

If I could give zero stars I would. We’ve been a customer for over 30 years yet are treated horribly with constant issues. When we finally decided to switch, Telstra disconnected our internet straight away and refused to reactivate it for a few days until the new company is activated. Poor Service, do not recommend.
