Terrible experience trying to open a savings for my minor child. I have been a customer for 15 years and her for 2 years with a teen checking. 1. They require an appointment even though there’s 5 people working and no customers and I’m already in there on other business. 2. I was told proof of residency was required (ie; utility bill) for a 17 year old because she only had student Id. My daughter is unable to drive due to a medical condition which is something I had to explain when I was badgered on why a 17 year old doesn’t have a license. Then finally I got frustrated and said she’s a minor child, she doesn’t drive or pay bills! Utilities are in my name. The lady ACTUALLY LAUGHED and said I quote “ she’s not a child she’s 17”. I was so upset at this rude woman who was judging my parenting and all I’m trying to do is give them business! I called customer service to complain. Asked for a follow up...guess what crickets ...and still no way to open an account for her so now this weekend I have to go in there and close all our accounts. I wonder if I’ll need an appointment for that?
