We purchased and Wayfair shipped us an area rug...sealed in multiple layers of plastic, mind you...that we opened and found to be damp. The rug stunk horribly like mildew and the cardboard tube on the inside was completely limp and fell apart, as shown in the photo. Wayfair will not accept the return because it was past their 30-day return window (by about 3 weeks). Why was it past their window? Because our home repairs/renovation following Hurricane Ian were behind schedule and we couldn't put down our area rugs. This rug was clearly shipped to us wet. It did not get wet, nor could it have gotten wet following receipt as it was wrapped and sealed in multiple layers of heavy plastic. So, Wayfair is applying their mindless, illogical 30-day return policy in spite of shipping us a defective product...an unsafe product. So, they ship us a piece of trash and are more than happy to keep our money because our return didn't meet the fine print. Horrible company that clearly doesn't do the right thing
