I ordered a sleeper sofa from Wayfair even though they did not have the lowest price because they were able to schedule delivery on my move in date of 4/6/24. According to the tracking history the sofa was shipped on 4/3/24 and arrived at the shipping facility 20 minutes from my house. I received an email at 8:41pm the evening of 4/6/24 stating that my delivery had been rescheduled. I slept on the floor that night and many others while waiting for delivery. After calling customer service I was told that the sofa would arrive on 4/9/24 between the hours of 7:30am and 11:30am. After missing time at work waiting for the delivery, it was again rescheduled by Wayfair at 6:28pm. I again called customer service and requested a refund as I ordered the same product for a lower price from Home Depot. I was informed that I could not cancel the order as it had already shipped. Wayfair then proceeded to schedule and reschedule delivery 5 additional times! They finally showed up on 4/24/24 while I was at work. Since they would not issue a refund I reversed the charge on my credit card. Somehow they convinced my credit card company to put the charge back on my card while I still do not have the product. I can't imagine a worse purchase and customer service experience. Obviously I will never order a thing from Wayfair. UPDATE: Wayfair offered me a 10% discount on a future item but never refunded the money spent on the product that I do not have in my position. I think I'd rather not sit around an additional 7 times for whatever I get with the minimal discount. Laughable.
