Reference: Treasure Island resort condo #101.Property#2842159 I’m reaching out to inform you of our disappointing stay in unit 101 from Saturday, May20 – May 28, 2023. We had several issues to deal with that need to be brought to yourattention and they are listed below: 1. Entering the main door to the unit was difficult due to a broken screen/stormdoor. It would not stay open to allow us to enter without putting a heavy item infront of it to hold it open. Then it would not close. Very frustrating. We wereinformed by the maintenance management that the screen/storm doors wherenot allowed at the complex and they would inform the owners of this. 2. The bed in the guest bedroom was hard as the kitchen table. Tough to get agood night sleep (unless you like sleeping on a board). 3. The 5 smoke detectors would trip and were so loud as to pierce your ears. The officewas notified and sent maintenance to fix the problem. They had to return 3 times in thefirst two days and could not fix the problem. The third day, after four calls to the office, maintenance removed all the smoke detectors from the condo. This left us with NOsmoke detectors putting us at risk in case of a real fire emergency in the unit. 4. On the fourth night at 3:33 a.m. the main resort fire alarm went off. The condois fitted with a speaker that instructs all occupants to evacuate the premises andnot to use the elevators. The speaker was so loud as to pierce your ears. The firedepartment came to the resort. No office personnel had a key to the firecompressor room, so the fire department had to break the two steel doors to gainentrance. Then the fire department confirmed that there was no fire anddisconnected the alarm. 4 a.m. back to bed/board. The next day the alarm wentoff at least three more times. The fire sprinkler company finally fixed the problem. There was a broken pipe in the stairwell adjacent to our unit 101. Water wasrushing out the stairwell and entering our front door. We were provided old dirtytowels from the cleaning service responsible for cleaning units 102, 103, and 105to help stop the water from entering the unit. Nothing was provided from themaintenance department. 5. The kitchen was not stocked well. The knives were dull, the pans were oldand worn out. Only 3 dishwashing pods were left for an eight day stay. 6. The ceiling fans had a thick layer of dirt on every fan blade in the living/eatingarea. 7. The amenities that were described were of great interest to us and one of themain reasons for choosing to stay at the resort. Although advertised, freebeach lounge chairs with umbrellas and unlimited free golf were included, none of which were true. These were out of pocket expenses we were not expecting toendure. We feel for a premium rental, the owners and the property management showed littleconcern for our comfort and safety. We would find it hard to recommend this facility, Unit101 at Treasure Island, to anyone wanting to relax and enjoy a week at the beach.
