The Northern Cyprus holiday we booked through VRBOFor period 17 Dec 2022 to 5 Jan 2023 was truly our worst experience ever in our lifetime.VRBO is not ATOL or ABTA regulated. We were the victim of a “switch and bait scam”. We paid for a 2 bed cottage and were assigned to a 1 bedroom unsafe structure with faulty electric wiring,leaking gas, no heating, stale smell of nicotine with a fresh nicotine after we had gone out for the day and no one was supposed to have entered the property. Take screen shots of everything if you had the misfortune to use this company and consider cancelling if you have booked as VRBO will not honor their commitment otherwise it will cost a lot to get alternative accomodation if not impossible if it is end of season ie December to March.
