Rented this property for one month. The house was ok, a bit grubby in places and very tired furnishings. Felt it needed a good spring clean. We had a plague of ants in various rooms including bathrooms and living room. We discovered on arrival that the wifi was non existent, eventually it was installed correctly, but we were without it for more than a week, which meant we couldn’t work. We vacated a couple of days early and the day after we left my credit card was charged $500 by the company that hosted this property. When I followed it up I was told it’s normal practice as an end of lease bond! I had not authorised or been told that this would occur. I was advised they held it for 5 days after the end of the booking. It’s the 6th day and I have t had any confirmation it has been credited back to my credit card. I have stayed with Stayz before and have NEVER been charged a bond. We are not teenagers, we are a couple in our 70’s! I will never use Stayz again or the company we dealt with. Disgraceful.
