I am extremely disappointed with VRBO and will never use this site for travel plans again. I booked a property three months ago, only to receive a call yesterday (December 20) from a company called Distinctive Beach Rentals (DBR), claiming they were canceling my reservation. The person who called spoke poor English, was dismissive, and left me questioning whether the call was even legitimate.When I sent a message through VRBO for clarification, they forwarded my email to DBR, who then emailed me back stating that the reservation wasn't canceled but that I would need to move to a different property. The "alternatives" they sent were up to 100 miles away from my original booking, which is completely unacceptable.This is not an isolated incident—this is the third time a booking has been canceled through VRBO. The lack of reliability and accountability is appalling. If you want peace of mind for your travel plans, look elsewhere. VRBO has proven to be completely untrustworthy, and I will never use this service again.
