Left us stranded in Jamaica

If I could give 0 stars I would. They have left us stranded in Jamaica. We are on our honeymoon. Had a villa booked. We arrived to be told it shouldn’t have been advertised as they are booked out for months ahead. Used the chat to contact vrbo. The worst experience ever! They told me they can’t let us book somewhere else as they don’t allow same day check in. They promised we were entitled to a refund that would take 5-7 days. They also promised to find us a hotel for 2 nights. They asked for my number which I gave. They said they couldn’t connect. We then gave them the n bar owners number and they claimed they couldn’t connect to that either. No missed calls on either number so they lied. They then gave me a number to call which I did. It was automated and asked for the last 4 digits of my card which I entered. It then said it didn’t recognize it and would let me proceed with the call. I went back to the chat and was told they would email me. As I’m writing this, they still have not emailed me. We spent last night at the bar owners house out of the kindness of his heart. If he hadn’t done that we would have been stranded. I tried to go back to the chat but have been told ‘we will be in touch soon’ This company is disgraceful. To leave people stranded in a country that’s not safe after dark is unacceptable. We have had to contact our insurance company to fly us home. We don’t have big money to spend on another property. Vrbo does not care. They list properties that are unavailable and take your money. As I write this they have not contacted me once or cancelled the booking to start our refund and the property is STILL showing as available! Please listen to the reviews people and don’t use this sham of a company. You’ve been warned!
