I booked with VRBO as I have several times before and I had good experiences. This time we arrived at 8pm to find the apartment we booked in the NULU area of Louisville to have been clearly slept in and not cleaned, beds were unmade, towels in a pile in the bathroom and no spare sheets or towels. Now this should be in a review with the host, but I can't because I did get the owner to cancel my reservation and refund my money so that after a long 12 hour work day we could try and find alternative arrangements at 9pm at night. We did. Paid much more. The issue is that once its cancelled, it didn't happen as far as VRBO so there's no remedy for the afflicted party. Information that people might want to know can't be shared. So, if this is the case, ratings in general must be overstated. VRBO basically isn't involved and as with most of these services you can maybe get a chat with a Virtual Assistant that never seems to understand your particular problem and wastes your time. VRBO also steers you to their app and away from the Desktop; which is fine. Except as your trying to send feedback in a window pops up blocking you from seeing what your writing and as we all know, spell check is wreaking havoc with your words. There is now way to actually contact them that I can find. This was a great inconvenience and costly. So this is my only recourse.
