Dreadful experience. Host charged us 300 euro last August on return from our holiday in Spain. Claimed we had damaged a plastic beach chair with "chemicals". We questioned it and were told that she would be asked to furmish evidence in the form of photos and receipts. Nothing furnished. Takes about 23 minutes every time to contact Vrbo, round in circles, heard nothing only that the caseworker will be in contact, which has not happened. Have used all other sites, booking. com, airbnb etc without problem, we were scammed by this host and Vrbo facilitated this. Awful company, will never ever book with them again.
