I booked a house for July 2026. Paid £911 deposit. Then got an email saying the price was not £2233 but £14,000. I tried to contact the sender of the email Sykes cottages and also VRBO but then got another email saying my booking has been cancelled. I am now trying to contact both companies for the refund of my deposit.
