This is by far the worst app I’ve ever used for several different reasons.1. First bad experience was when I made my account and sent $1,400 to my landlord and Venmo decided to freeze my account right after sending. They took the money right out of my account but froze the transfer for 14 DAYS. I almost lost my apartment because of it. Contacted customer service 3 times because of it and they were no help and have zero clue whats going on. They never gave me a reason. I transferred it instantly, they took it out my bank instantly, but put in on a 14 day hold...2. Half the time when i try to withdraw funds I get an error. No idea why and (of course) customer service had no idea why it was happening.3. The last straw was recently when I tried to add several banks and cards to my account and kept getting a fail message. I even tried my GFs card just to see if it was me and hers failed to add to my account too. I contacted customer service and, you guessed it, they couldn’t help and said it was a “security issue”...i logged in with my bank credentials and answered the 2 step verification so no idea why security was the issue. I asked customer service who I could speak with to help me to which they rudely replied “sorry i cant help you with that goodbye”Why is the live chat even there? All i get is “they will get back to you in 5 business days” and the only way they can reach us is by email? Are we kidding? Thousands of dollars on hold and you want me to wait a week just to get email #1? How can I trust my money with a company that can’t reply to issues for 5 days??Cash App is so much better and has never given me issues. I deleted venmo and will never use again - by far the worst experience i’ve had.
