A consumer’s nightmare experience. Need money securely sent fast?! Family or friends want to send you money?! DO NOT USE VENMO! It took 19 days for my money to be released from “restriction” into my bank account. Totally unacceptable! To make the situation even more frustrating and complicated; VENMO does not notify you of a restriction or the reason(s) why. Finally, after days of phoning and e-mailing them; all that was needed was verifying my bank account. VENMO is to make two small deposits plus same amount withdrawals. Same process for many banking companies. It does not take 19 days to do this! Their frontline customer service are well trained in listening and offering apologies. Poor reps are not allowed to share specifics; you must wait to hear from another team specialist, no access to them at all. Your money is held hostage.
