A new tenant paid us using Venmo. Once the money was in my Venmo account I was never able to transfer it to either my business account nor my personal account. Venmo customer service just kept sending me articles none of which addressed my situation. Both of my accounts were verified and Venmo support kept saying they would help me, but in every thread they would just stop communicating. I received copies of the threads but what they showed was not what happened. The copies they sent me showed me not responding to them but I was responding to them. And what they show as their communications to me were things I never saw. I finally asked how to refund my tenant's money and they sent me an article about it that worked. So, I was finally able to refund my new tenant's money. Hopefully she will send me a check instead. Since she doesn't move in for two more weeks I am not at risk, I still have time to rent to someone else. I will never again risk using Venmo for my business.
