I placed an order with shipping via UPS, scheduled to be delivered on **June 20th**. From the beginning, things were unclear: the package left Poland on June 13th and arrived at the UPS facility in Rome at **01:40 AM on June 20th**. It was marked as “out for delivery” at **04:57 AM**.From that moment: **nothing.**The estimated delivery window was **12:15 PM to 4:15 PM**. I stayed home the entire day, **putting aside other commitments**, relying on the time window UPS provided. At **6:30 PM**, with no updates or contact, the system silently changed the status to **“by end of day”** – a vague, meaningless phrase that tells the customer absolutely nothing.No doorbell rang. No delivery attempt. **Nothing.**To make matters worse, I contacted UPS customer support and received a careless response: _“There must be a reason.”_ A **disrespectful and dismissive answer** for a customer who wasted an entire day waiting.Let me be clear: **nobody attempted delivery.**If they had, the tracking system would have reported it, as it always does. But instead, UPS simply **ignored their commitment**, pushing the delivery to the next day with no explanation, no notice, and not even an apology.Summary of the experience:- Tracking updates are **vague and uninformative**- Delivery windows are **not honored**- No contact, no updates, no transparency- Customer service is **cold, unhelpful, and dismissive**- The customer is treated as **irrelevant**I sincerely hope UPS starts taking **responsibility** for these failures and learns to respect customers who put **time, energy, and trust** into their service. Right now, this was a **disappointing, frustrating, and sadly not rare** experience.By 7:00 PM, the package was still marked as “Out for delivery.” According to UPS, it would arrive “by the end of the day” — yet the day clearly ended. I imagine the driver is now relaxing at a bar, while I wasted a full day waiting for a delivery that never came. This is more than an inconvenience — it’s disrespect.I had even planned to charge the item from 4 PM to 10 PM so I could go out and try it in the city tonight. I had my entire evening planned. Instead, I stayed home waiting for something that never came. My plans were ruined, my time wasted, and not even a single update was given.I live just 5 minutes away from the GRA (Rome’s main ring road), and UPS’s depot is located in Fiumicino. Logistically, it would’ve made perfect sense to deliver to me early in the day — and yet, I was skipped entirely, with no explanation. It’s clear that this wasn’t a matter of distance, but disorganization or carelessness.
