My online shopping experience at Ulta

My online shopping experience at Ulta was horrible. First, I would like to mention that I was ordering from outside the US. I have done so multiple times without issues. For shipping, I put in the address for my unit at a delivery service that flies the products out to my country - no big deal. Well, Ulta made it a big deal. First of all, the website is very glitchy and needs a lot of refreshing to get items in your basket. Secondly, they would not let me check out. I tried every card that I have, Visa, Mastercard, even Paypal and nothing. The amount was immediately refunded back to me each time. My bank said it was the store not approving my transaction. The site kept asking me to prove my bank info or try a different method, but it wouldn't let me type anything. It was definitely time-consuming and annoying, but I still gave them the benefit of the doubt and decided to reach out to support for help. Don't get me wrong, I manage a customer support team at a Marketing Agency, so I know a bit about what happened behind the scenes. I definitely never intended to sound like a Karen, but when customer support can't spell basic words correctly and says, "thank yoi for reaching out", it's a bit embarrassing. I got zero help from support. They asked for the number that was on my order which I provided with a detailed explanation of my situation. Guess what? I got an email back from a representative introducing herself and - well, that's it, that was the whole email. "Hi, this is *Blank* from Ulta guest services" - An incomplete email. Great. I don't have the energy or the patience to wait for an incompetent support team to help me with a transaction. You'd think they'd be on top of it, considering I'm trying to buy from them. But no. Don't waste your time. Order on Sephora instead, like I did.
