Uber One subscription locked to wrong country – violates EU law

I purchased a 1-year Uber One membership while on vacation in Portugal. Now I’m unable to use the service in my home country, the Netherlands, where I live permanently. Uber refuses to correct this. This violates EU geo-blocking laws and consumer protection. A formal complaint has been filed with the ECC and Dutch ACM. Highly disappointing service and lack of accountability.
