I visited the home of a Telstra employee who was employed from home, and was appalled at their conduct. This employee would take illegal breaks and was an active drug user.I advised Telstra via the whistleblower portal of what I had witnessed. However, from my perception, the representative flat-out denied that the employee works for them. The representative was quite meticulous in the information they provided regarding the matter, attempting to phrase their responses in a vague, ambigious way in order to evade any accountability for their failure to appropriately monitor their employees and or future legal implications that could arise from the breach.Due to this, I'm unsure if the employee is still with them however from the way they phrased their responses, it eludes to them terminating the employee. Unfortunately, it felt as though they we're deliberately trying to cover up a drug addict that they employed to work for them.I'm writing this in order to bring awareness to the reality of majority of the larger corporations we trust. How it is the employees, that make up the company, not the reputation and image they spin to the public. How sometimes glamorous reputations can decieve us from the true inner workings of a business.Absolutely, disappointing, disgraceful and unethical conduct. And why I have terminated my accounts with them.
