First, I get they may have backlogs with the PS5 shortages. I was left waiting for an hour on the phone before being put through to someone, then when I was put through they were incredibly rude and abrupt. I told them the serial number on the controller I was having problems with, and they said "I can tell you for a fact, unless Sony has suddenly made a new batch, that doesn't look like a serial number for any controller I know of". So what am I supposed to do with that information? Are you trying to imply I'm lying?In the end I was asked to email a proof of purchase and the serial number on the controller. So I did that on the same day. It has now been 3 weeks, and I still haven't had a reply or anything back.I have paid over £1000 on various Sony products in the last year, have been a loyal Sony customer for 21+ years, and I would really expect more from their customer service than I received. I'll be making a formal complaint tomorrow, and unless this is resolved in 4 weeks from that date I will be selling my playstation and moving to Xbox instead.
