Goofy ass company. I thought I was buying (yes BUYING, no free trial) a license for one picture I wanted to use. Turns out, without really realizing, I was getting myself into a year long subscription I didn't want that I was going to have to pay $160 to cancel. So I make a fuss out of it with customer support, they tell me "look best we can do is reduce the cancellation fee to 36 bucks" so I tell them yeah okay fine charge me the 36 I just don't want anything to do with you skeezy bastards anymore. So they're next emails comes back saying "okay listen since our customer support is exceptional we've waived the cancellation fee entirely, disregard the fact that we just said we totally couldn't do that" (this isn't verbatim obviously but they literally did say they were unable to waive the cancellation fee, and then waived it in literally the next email) so we know this cancellation fee is a load of dookie, and they can waive it willy-nilly all day long as much as they like. They're just hoping they can skeeze people into paying it, thinking they have to. Don't give these assholes a dime. You can find forum posts talking about how it's just people being stupid or not being willing to pay for creative works that they use, which also might be the case, but average people's stupidity does not inundate these guys from being assholes, they still very much are.
