If i can save one family from making a bad purchase my time and efforts will be worth it!! I bought a Samsung refrigerator RF220NCTASR in 2020 from Home Depot, the fridge seemed fine until I noticed little rips on rubber flaps that are on each of the French doors. The flaps are ripping off for no apparent reason. I contacted Samsung in and unfortunately there’s no warranty, however i do not accept this as its not damage caused by me but rather that the flaps over lap and are in contact with the flaps from the other door and each time the door is opened they slide off one another creating friction and ultimately ripping the flaps. Samsung home appliance service connected to Home Depot determined that this is “physical damage” which i agree with but it’s done by simply opening and closing the door. Samsung will do absolutely nothing about it nor will they own up to their poor design and workmanship. This was the very last samsung product that i will ever purchase. My decision to never purchase Samsung again comes from my experience with my fridge but also a clothes washing machine who’s motor nearly set my laundry room /house on fire. The motor was caught on fire and filled my house with awful smoke which created panics and stress, and ultimately a purchase of a new washing machine when i wasn’t expecting or prepared to buy a new appliance. I am so very disappointed, i was looking for someone to help me get the door seal rubber that has the flaps in question replaced. The damage is due to poor design, and workmanship. The reps i spoke with did not even attempt to help resolve this issue and expect the consumer to pay for repairs of badly made and designed products. I highly recommend choosing a different brand to save your money and nerves. Samsung appliances do not live up to the expectation or the price paid expecting a long lasting product.
