I was using Preply in good faith as a student, with an active subscription and regular lessons in preparation for an important exam. Nine days ago, my account was suddenly deactivated without any warning, explanation, or opportunity to clarify my situation. I was labeled as “fraudulent,” despite using the platform legitimately and funding everything out of my own pocket.I still had funds in my account when I was locked out, and my access was completely revoked as if none of my history or payments mattered. I contacted support multiple times but received no proper response or resolution. To add context: at one point, I noticed a system error that unintentionally credited my account. I immediately reported it to the support team and asked for the funds to be removed — which they did. The support agent even thanked me for my honesty. From that point on, I only used personal funds and continued learning sincerely with my tutor.Additionally, I referred two friends who successfully joined the platform, and I received a $100 referral bonus — fully in line with Preply’s referral policy. I violated no rules and have documentation and chat history to support every claim. I am ready to share this evidence if needed. My tutor has now increased their rate. If I’m forced to create a new account, I will lose my learning history and be required to pay a higher fee — all because of an unfair decision made without proper investigation. I expected appreciation for reporting a platform flaw, not punishment.I am kindly requesting the following:Immediate reinstatement of my accountRestoration of my subscription with the same tutor, at the previous rateRefund of any remaining balance and referral rewards I rightfully earnedI sincerely hope this situation is reviewed fairly and resolved promptly. Thank you for your attention.
