Decade long victim to refusal to refund auto renewals and double charges? Truly a black Friday gift

I have been a customer with this company for over a decade and they had absolutely no concern or even apology for what they were doing. They would say things like we're sorry this didn't turn out the way you wanted it to. I contacted them For a refund within their 14 day every time in the chat I was either cut off by them, the chat was not open or it had nearly 400 people waiting. When I phoned them multiple times they had a list so long that my phone's battery would not last that long or the call would drop and so I called them from landlines and the list was still so long that they took my number and said they would call me back and they never did- 2 or 3 times that happened. So I contacted them through PayPal to get the charge reversed and they refused to do it. PayPal said that it was an authorized charge. Finally when I did get through to them they only give you 2 weeks. I spent several days trying to reach them several different ways PayPal was actually my last-ditch effort just to get something on record within their time frame of 2 week refunds. I thought that it would be documented and I had screenshots that I contacted their chat. When I finally got through to playstation it was outside of the time frame. I had all this documentation which they had no interest in seeing and they just kept saying no you're outside the 2 weeks while refusing to address any of the documentation that I had or even reference concerns about double changes at all. I had to request to speak to a manager 3 times before customer service would even pass me on and it took in total about an hour and a half on chat with them. Then finally the manager said that there are no refunds on auto renewals no matter that I had proof that I contacted them the very day the charge went through. I asked him for a copy of the chat and he said that he couldn't give me one but I would have an option to save it when I left the chat - of course there was no option - I did save screenshots. The worst thing is that my child was getting a gift card every year at Christmas so he could have a playstation account and they automatically turn on auto renewal I know that I turned it off at some point but they're saying even if it got accidentally turned back on or somehow it got turned back on with no explanation that it didn't matter they would not give a refund even though they could see that no hours were being used. They tell you that they can see how many hours you have used but they will not tell you that information and they refused to give the dates to me of when the gift charge gift cards were charged and when my credit card was charged because I was concerned that I had paid twice over for the same plus account. So even if you're already signed up with a gift card and you have a plus account ... I was asking them if I was still getting charged separately by this auto renewal and they refused to give me the dates. The replies they gave me completely dodged the issues that I was bringing up and they wouldn't directly address them and they refused to refund my money at all in any case. I really hope that there is another company out there that is more honest. You know we use steam and they can also be really hard to contact and take a long time to try and get a refund. I can't remember exactly what the issue is but I think that we had paid for a game twice or something I really don't know but there was a lot of explaining to do and I had to ask them to look back at the paperburke I had a request at about several different times via email and eventually they did refund the charge but it was very difficult to get. Honestly it didn't make me feel very good about being their customer the only consolation there is that if something has happened at least you get to keep the games that you have purchased from their store no matter what and some of them can be downloaded on your computer. With these other gaming consoles after games just expire and you have to buy a whole new console plus then you have to rebuy the games that match that console and that is a robbery. If you have not signed up for this do not get into it no matter how much your child begs. There is almost always a workaround where you could buy a game on a computer and plug in a handheld gaming controller Sure it may get complicated at some point and you may have to install something like an emulator but you're putting investment into a computer that you will always get to keep and it won't be a console that keeps getting updated forcing you to buy the new console and the same game over to match it. They do not have customers -they have victims. They spend so much money on lawyers to keep the money that they have robbed from mainly children who are playing the games and their parents. The money that you give them goes directly to a lawyer pitted against you to write their customer service replies. SAVE YOURSELF - don't sign up!
