I have used Windows emulation in the past and Parallels is by miles the best. It has allowed me to used software that is only available for Windows on my ageing i7 MacBook Pro and it works perfectly. In fact that software runs quicker than it does on my office Windows based computer. You have to learn how to start a session from Mac OS, run apps and end a session but that is straightforward and after that it is plain sailing.
