No money collected, sent to debt collectors

I bought a mirror beginning of this year and I assumed the money came out of my bank account, like in all online shops I’ve ever used. I received some emails after a while asking me for money which looked like spam to me. After another while I received a letter from debt collectors and it sounded surreal to me. I then transferred the money to Otto, which they returned back to my bank account and the finance team never responded to my emails asking why it was returned. The more time followed the higher of course the debt was growing l, whilst I was waiting for answers from Otto finance team. I today ended up having to pay double the amount than the item I purchased was valued.I got recommended by the customer service team to pay the amount to debt collectors and open a new Otto account. Definitely not returning as a customer. Very sad it ended like this
